Going back to April of 2020 it was time to finish up some things on fatboy's Bronco so he could take it back to his place for the final stretch to get it on the road. The front axle was cleaned up along with new suspension bushings and steering linkage built. new fuel tank installed along with a different grill, door inserts, fender flares and custom rock sliders and bumpers.

I'm sure there's more that was accomplished while it was here but that was the brunt of the work that I was tasked with to help give him a head start.
And here it is on its way back to his place. You'll have to check out his build thread to see the continued progress.;)

Do you have a track bar riser on your axle housing? which hole did you use?

His bronco already had a home built riser set up on it so it was left as is since it worked out to be parallel with the new steering linkage.

When I do a full suspension build I like to use a movable/adjustable riser so I can build and line everything up before fully welding it in place….as you’ll see coming up a little later on in this thread;)

Wow, Lil' Rusty is definitely the right name! I've strangely enjoyed some of my rust repairs, even my upper cowl replacement, but that is a lot of work. Definitely post of pics of the progress. The Bronco Barn looks like a great place to restore broncos, love that heater, very jealous!

Still making them?
Not like those pictured above, but I do plan on making more like the current ones on my 70 Bronco in the coming future. No tire carrier planned at the moment though, that one's more of a one off on my truck.

The mounting brackets are adjustable to fit trucks with no body lift up to 2" body lift. I will have a few variations such as the hidden winch mount, receiver hitch, completely smooth and also a license plate cutout available.

Ok, so back to the updates. Not too much more exciting happened the rest of 2020... mostly just shuffling projects and things in and out for storage, not all Broncos, but some at least were still Fords 😁

Also towards the end of that year I painted and started to install a hard top on the 70 before the winter hit.

So, 2021 I didn't really work on too much regarding Bronco related projects, actually started the year off by building a 78" long flat surface device for storing dis-organized piles of stuff on top of....

See, I had this older wilton vise that I wanted to clean up and needed somewhere to put it, and I had a couple nice looking pieces of plywood so I combined them with some other scrap wood I had on hand and made this rather large catch-all. At least I now had somewhere to mount that vise, and the thick aluminum edge I added is handy for clamping things.

One small Bronco project I did do... I was tired of the big blue sticking out under the 70 Bronco, plus it was looking a bit grimy, so it was time to turn those big blue arms black. Blends in much better.

Without much Bronco stuff going on at the time I did spend the better part of the 2021 summer cleaning up a 1970ish Cub Cadet 127 that I had recently acquired. It still had it's original paint which I thought was pretty cool, so I focused more on anything mechanical needed and just cleaning up what was already there.
I have several other tractor projects as well but this one was running good at the time so it was worth a quick refreshing to make it handy around the yard. And hey...there are Broncos in some of the pictures!😁

Not too much more exciting happened during the latter half of 2021, just some shuffling around of projects and maybe some tinkering on this and that.
I did end up taking that hard top back off of the Bronco that I had started to install previously at the end of 2020...

And maybe you noticed a certain yellow Bronco in there that showed up near the end of 2021? More to come on that as we head into 2022...

Looks great Migs! I used to like buying from Duffs years ago but hated how every damn part was that blue color. I have a set of powdercoated long arms to redo as well, how did you take the powdercoat off or did you paint over it??
