Mustang GT seats fitment

I've got a line on some mustang GT seats. Wondering if anyone has ever put these in an early bronco and how the fitment went.

I'm a bit taller than average so hoping to get these as low as I can. Was planning on buying some procar classic seats from wild horses with the lower mounting bracket but a local friend has these so I think they are worth a shot

I have a gray pair from a 93 GT in my 73 Bronco using the stock mustang and factory bronco brackets (modified to stay as low as possible and still have a rearward tilt), with a 80's Smittybuilt cage and at 6'-0 I'm just under the bars. Soon to be Mastercraft though.

I installed 1984 mustang GT seats in my bronco over twenty-five years ago. As I remember, I adapted the bronco tracks. I'm 5-10 and have no problem with outward vision through the windshield. I also have short legs (29" inseam) and taller from the waist up, if that helps. They have given great service and are very comfortable. I had a small tear and had a upholstery shop make the repair. There are replacement covers available but they are a bit pricey for my taste.

I have seat from a 90mustang gt. Almost a bolt in the bronco track fit and you might have to drill a hole for the rear of the seat to the track same with. I’m 6’1” and they work pretty well they sit low

Both the '89 (taller back) and '91 (better size for a Bronco I think) here, and love them. But they're too high for me in spite of that.
They're amazingly comfortable especially if you were used to stock Bronco seats. But they do sit taller.

What year does your friend say they are from? I don't know about the later seats, but I'm mostly leg and a short torso and still have to bend over to see traffic signals out of the top of the windshield.
The '68 is a little better because the paint on the hood is shinier so I can see things in the reflection that I cannot see directly.;);D

I think they are out of a 2007. I'm 6' 3" so likely to have some issue regardless

It's funny how that works. My '68 has stock seats, but they were recently re-furbished with new padding. And even those now sit me up so high that I often find myself peeking out from under the lid while hunched over slightly.
I never had that problem with the original seats, but once the foam was so firm it became an issue. And I know for a fact that I have not grown any taller in the last few years! (opposite unfortunately).

Be interested to get some measurements of the '07 models though. Hate to steer you clear of them if they turn out to be low profile compared to the older ones. Very much worth the time to check some measurements I'd say.

I have 2005 seats in mine. Build thread below with pics. This are tall but they sit low, fold/slide and are comfortable.

I've got 96 seats in mine, they sit pretty low. I just had to modify the brackets a bit to fit the Bronco. Nice to have slide and tilt to make it easier to get into the back seat.

I have 2013/2014 Roush seats in mine, I'm 6'3 and they are pretty much perfect height wise. I took off the stock seat tracks and used 65-68 mustang tracks because I didn't have the original bronco seats to use parts from. I used 1/4" nylon spacers to keep the seats off of the floor so they could tilt correctly. Just need to make a couple covers for the sides of the seats that face the door because I couldn't use the stock seat plastics.
