Narrow center console

Looking for ideas on a narrow center console. I have the Corbeau Baja ultra seats. Tried an 8" wide but won't fit. Need something like 6 or 7" wide. Wondered if anyone else had this issue and what they came up with. Worst case scenario I'll make one but thought I'd check here first. Thx!

I am running the Baja Ultra- Wide version and I have the 8" stereo console in mine. The top rubs the seat when you open it, but I put some rubber trim on it to keep from chaffing the seat.

I had to add brackets to my cage to mount them, but the driver seats is centered and it all fits...

hmmm my seats are mounted to cage wonder if they are mounted a little closer together than normal. Drivers looks centered with wheel but maybe passengers is over a little too much. Have to look at that tonight thx!

I saw those. I'm trying to be cheap LOL. I have to buy some kind of temporary shelter for it for the summer too. As it won't fit in my garage now. :(

I have inserts in the doors and the side of the seat just touches the inserts. It was all close, but fits. I will try to get you a pic tonight.

My '75 barely fits in my garage with a 7' door... 37" tires, 4" suspension 3" body- I have about 1 inch to spare with no hard top and just a bikini top on.

That toolbox is a pretty slick idea. I really like it. Damn I just finished building my console but now I may have to change the way the lid hinges after seeing that.

Thanks. It was a spur of the moment idea. It fit how I needed, was the right height for the shifter and (barely) wide enough for the cupholders so it got chopped up. It is an 18" box. I think it was 7or 8" wide so it may be tight for the OP's scenario but if one can be found to fit it at least gives a cheaper option.

I run the 6.5" tuffy console, found a deal on it in the Wild Horses bargain room years ago. I have the same problem - big wide seats (PRP buckets). I always wanted a stereo console but I gave up on the idea and just went with the Tuffy. I store probably too much stuff in it now!

Love the ammo can and tool box... Where did you get the arm rest pads?

A little material and foam padding from Hobby Lobby attached to a piece of plywood.
For the ribbing around the bottom I used some tailgate weather stripping I had laying around.
