I'm working on removing my hub/drums and the outer clutch ring will not come out on drivers side. The passenger side popped right out, the spring more or less pushed it out. I've tried pulling it from behind and banging the hub with no luck, any tricks?? Is it possible the spring is busted and that's why it's not pushing out?

That piece can be a pain in the backside. I usually put in a couple of hub screws and grab them with a couple of vise grips and pull it out with that. This is all close fitting stuff and little burs in the spline where the c clip rides causes all the problems.

Did you remove the big C clip (really its almost an O with a gap) ( no technical terms here) from the inside edge of the drum housing?

I did get that clip removed, it's this last piece in front of the spring that is stuck. And I can't really think of any way to pull on it. There isn't much of a lip behind it to pull on. Just wanted to see if there are nay tricks, before trying to cut it out (not even sure how that will go)

The main reason their stubborn to get out is the hub cover gets over tightened, and distorts the ring. You should only tighten it with the allen wrench's short side. Otherwise you tend to
over-torque.
Sometimes you can take a hammer to it on a flat surface, then clean it up with a file. It's easier to replace them though when they get bent like that.
