I think maybe the new bronco division is the old car division people. And they came up with a rugged new cross over with a more vertical windshield, and removable top/doors.

They are definitely keeping the roof a secret.
I wonder if the top will come off in sections like the jeep? Could Ford be coming up with a way to take the hard top off, and stow it in the vehicle?

This article says roof and doors are removable and will be stored on board. Mirrors will stay on pillars. It also says Detroit for intro (not NY stated in last article).

Good point in that the new Bronco has the potential to put the EB more on the radar, hence increasing demand of EB. (Although in terms of scarcity, the 10 year EB model run is no 65/66 Fastback GT Mustang.)



Still I use Wrangler as a predicting model. New Wrangler is enough like the older models, that it takes some price and demand pressure off older models in the line. The guys dropping 50 grand on new Wranglers are not needing to buy some old Jeep driving up prices.



Who is driving the EB pricing madness? Is it just old 4x4 fans who like to turn a wrench and do some off-roading? I suspect not. I think EB prices jumped the shark when some other big spending demographics got involved for various reasons, and I'm not sure how the new Bronco will impact their spending habits.

No one wants a particular old car until everyone else wants it .

Hard to tell how the new ones will affect the pricing of the old ones ,
The new one is not going to resemble the early bronco in anything except name

Is the new Blazer affecting prices of K5s ?
No way .
The old K5s were sturdy capable V8 full frame vehicles
The new ones are minivans with swinging doors instead of sliding doors

New bronco is going to be the same thing
Aimed at people who need a minivan but can’t stand the though of driving one

A smaller Excursion would have got my money. There are already plenty of choices out there for the mini van crowd. This brings nothing to the table but gimicky top and doors.

That would be called the expedition, but now it looks like a flex station wagon and you can’t even get it with with real V8 anymore , just a six cylinder.

Excursion- straight axle, v8, v10, turbo v8. Body on frame. Way closer to a bronco, just a little large.

LOL !! So true.

Roundhouse have you driven an Expediton with the 3.5 Ecoboost in it? I own a 2017 with one in it, I also used to have a 2008 with the 5.4 in it. Well that "crapy 6cyl" will run circles around most V powered SUVs. I had zero problems out of both of them 220,000 miles, and my 2017 is up to about 70,000 miles.
I also have a F150 with a 5.0 and had two F150s with the 3.5 Eco Boost and again they run circles around the 5.0 truck. Look I love the sound of a healthy V8 but the new Eco Boost motors are bad ass, I have had one in Fusion, Two F150s, and an Expedition and have had zero problems. The 5.0 I have has also been trouble free so its a great motor too. I also have a service body F250 with the 6.2 and have no problems with that, except it gets 12 mpg and is kind of gutless with a trailer behind it. I also have two F250s with 6.7 diesels and they have been great but thats a whole other rant.

Now back to the new bronco bashing!
