New dash layout - your thoughts

Hi,

Getting ready to order a custom dash from BC Broncos. They are going to cut the holes for me. I am starting with the dash pictured. (Not sure who's it is but thank you for the inspiration and posting.) I like the clean, uncluttered look.

Only difference is I am doing the push button start. (No keys to scratch dash or jingle). On the left by driver door is (top to bottom) is lights, wipers, and wiper fluid. Radio, USB, lighter will be on console (along with power windows and door locks). Made a spreadsheet with all the possible switch options and have labeled their location.

Did I miss anything? Any bad ideas? Future expansion to be considered?

Looks like you got just about everything covered. Curious about what you are using for push button start... let me know what you found.

I ordered this. GT-3. I spent quite some time on the phone with their engineer talking about hacking it, RF signal from keys being close by allowing it to be stolen (there's equipment now thieves can get which can read the RF from in your house, mimic it, and use it to start your car), comparisons to competitors (I also called the competitors such as digital guard dawg) They've sold quite a few to other Bronco owners he claimed, and based on my conversation with them, I understand why. I added the door actuators. Best price I found on them.

Your dash looks clean! Mines much more complicated. Nice seats in the post too. Maybe the owner will speak up?

Thanks for the link to Gallo. I like they have a person to call. Was looking at advanced key. Their system seems "sexier" but no support other than thru email. Gallo's stainless starter button is also a stylistic match to my dashboard vision instead of a black button. Thanks.

Spoke with Paul and he answered all of my questions. Bit the bullet and ordered the 3R with stainless start button.

Thanks everyone

I would just add look/check for interference BEHIND the new dash. Before you have holes cut.

are you only going with 3 a/c vents or are you gonna try to squeeze one on the other side of the gauge cluster?

I can't recall but do you have an automatic? I didn't go with the remote start because of my 5-speed. I like to keep it in gear and have the emergency brake on.

Decided to go with only 3 vents as that is all the ducts vintage AC provides. Splitting one to have over on the driver side does not seem worthy of the effort.

I don't have a winch or lockers. But I am leaving a spot on the lower left for expansion (uncut) . If do decide to add those switches they will probably be on the console.

By the way the radio is a headless unit that is controlled by blue tooth. I took the idea from a friend who has a boat set up this way.

My new tranny is a 4R70W and the Bauman controller will be on the passenger side of the glove box. That way it is out of sight most of the time. If I need to make and adjustment I can open the glove box door and see what's going on and still have two hands on the wheel.
