c6 from 95 Bronco bought, 60 day warranty, I figure that the best bang for the buck is loosing OD and some HP, but gain cooler trans, towing and can add the Supercharger w/o worrying about the trans!

I plan to start the removal of the AOD tonite, depending on how my back does, it is SLOOOOWWWLLY HEALING!

I will return the TQ to Jeggs, hope the shipping is not a lot!

Wouldn't a 95 Bronco have an E4OD?

What converter for the AOD did you buy?

My temp gauge may have been lying to me all along.....more to follow in my thread.

hey Matt, as I found they used the c6 all the way up to 96 on the broncos and f-150's

I got a B&M torque master 2000 from Jeggs.

Great to hear about the temp gage!!

I found that the other 2 governors where high rev stang ones, the new one is a low rev truck one. I installed it and notched the correct housing for the 205 shifter. tomorrow I shall assemble the AOD to the 205 and may be raise and bolt to 5.0!

AOD Shifting!!!!!!

Installed aod with 87 bronco extension housing and it is shifting!!!!

Had to modify xmember and installed the B&M torque master 2000 TQ. It is great to feel and hear it shift. Finally after 2years of struggle due to the wrong extension housing we are triumphant!!!:cool::cool:

Test drove it several times and it feels great. Trans cooler is cold to the touch.

Now I am chasing a break issue. I think the mustang MC is too small a bore not the chubby front calipers.

we have gear shifting, first is a little long, second is good, 3rd is ok and since I am figuring out a brake issue, no 4th yet.

looks like it was the wrong extension housing all along, killing the govs and messing up the shifting. I am surprised as to how cool it runs with just the 11 x 11 pancake cooler, I have a second one I plan to install with a fan, once I relocate the batteries to the driver side.

After looking at the Super-duty HB input rod and teh stang one I welded the long nut to I have a feeling that the HB (stang) might not have been pressing the MC all the way. I am going to have to modify the pedal location and want to mount the HB where the clutch was located (since now I am auto) and will test with the stang MC first. I am hopping to do it this saturday!

Looks good, nothing bleeds brakes as well as letting it sit a day or two and doing it once more.

I think I found the culprit on the stang HB/MC problem, my welding mods did not allow all of the push rod to go into the HB, but I really like not having to mod it with the SD HB!

I was lucky to find the EB prop valve, I was having a horrible time locating adapters.:cool:

I cant believe that I drove the EB last Sunday for more than 30 minutes, like I always dreamed, 2 years work, It handles perfect, suspension is soft but not loose, brakes are strong but have good modulation, exhaust sounds loud when floored but quiet when idling. all the head aches of the brakes and AOD dissipated when I felt/heard the OD shift and slammed the SD brakes to stop!!!

I has all that I wanted when driving my 76 ramcharger (440 1 ton axles, 36 mudders) and my 02 wrangler! the drive-ability of the jeep with the power of the Dodge and the coolness that only an EB has!

all is god in EB world. next lights, interior, top, bodywork and paint!!!

I finally finished reading through all 24 pages. You have done a great job. I'm getting ready to start on mine, but am running a 60 and a 14 bolt with a 302/4R70W/NP203-205 doubler. I'll be referring back to your build for help with some things.

I think a dark red and black mix are top on the list for color scheme.

FireDawg, feel free to ask I am always willing to help out, measurements and pics go a long way.

I decided to rest this weekend, sat I loaded the trailer with the second loads of scrap steel, mainly Ramcharger pieces, and sunday and monday I just rested, my tendonitis flared up and i was a bit irritable/stressed cause I had to quit caffeine again, I did not realize that I was sucked back in until I was up to a 2 litter bottle of diet coke a day!
my body felt weird and all my aches and paind from work and Bronco where driving me nuts. day 5 today and I am almost back to my lovable self, I found that even orange soda has caffeine in it :D

What's that middle one doing G? Separate turn signal?
Seems like having that one come on too, would give you some more "fill" in the lens and reflector. Rather than the central spots that show up in the images.

And speaking of that, is the entire lens lighting up, or is it just the spot right at the bulb (like normal for that type)?
One thing that definitely helped in my case, both with incandescent and LED's, was painting the reflector a bright white. I used an "appliance white" spray that worked real well. Just make sure it's glossy, rather than the matte finish that we see occasionally.

I tried aluminum paint, reflective tape, standard white, silver, and just bare housing with a slight polish to it. The gloss white outperformed them all in my tests.

Never did get enough fill with the LED's to make me happy though. Haven't tried the newer types with LED elements facing in all directions though. Nor did I get around to installing the LED strips and different board designs I was playing with.
Just ran out of time with family matters taking precedence.

Good luck. I like the idea of another red LED in the backup light socket. Have you thought of buying the '66-only tail light lenses? Those don't have the clear section over the backup light, so would show more consistently than your '67-'77 style.
Just a thought.

You know you could have just picked up 66/67 rear lens covers, then don't have the reverse light...

Paul. I sprayed them with chrome paint. I will try white.
I was not aware about the all red lenses! How did they run the reverse lights on those EB's?
Today I added the spots on the previous post on my hands to the top of the red area. Pics to follow. And am thinking if replacing the multi led bulbs with the red spots (behind the red lense). And running the white led on the reverse area. I just don't see how to add reverse light while keeping a clean look.

Tnkz for the input Paul. G
