These were Utility Vehicles. They didn't need no stinkin' reverse lights!
Well, I guess they did after all, since that got changed in either late '66 or for the '67 model year.
You might find a set here in the classifieds, from those that have retrofitted the later model with the backup lights, or you can get them from any of the vendors.

It's a cool look, but I have always had good luck with the stock backup lights (updated with 50w halogens of course!) so have just kept it that way.
Were the pics taken before, or after the chrome paint? Looks like silver, but I don't see much shine to it. The "aluminum" paint actually looked pretty shiny, but couldn't hold a candle to the white when it came to the end results out of the lens.
Have you thought too, about modifying, or making your own reflector setup to go behind a stock lens? I have thought about putting an off-the-shelf oval light under the stock lens. And I think someone here did that and posted pics too. I can't remember for sure, but I think it came out really nice.
