NV3550 Fluid

I have been doing a lot of research on the best fluid to use and am still not sure. ?:?

I have read people having success with:

Mopar Fluid from dealer
Amsoil Synchromesh
Pennzoil Synchromesh
Royal Purple Synchromax

There may be some I didn't list.

Anyone know for sure which fluid is the best?

I run Mopar fluid in mine. I have had no problems with the trans. Shifts great, nice and smooth like an import car, and I beat the snot out of it. Fluid from the dealer is pricey though.

ran amsoil, then went back to the mopar fluid. i was getting some noises with the amsoil, can't explain why. i also have about ½ quart of lucas oil stabilizer in mine.

I put the Penzoil syncromesh in mine because there was no way I'm paying the dealer price for the mopar stuff.

I plan on switching to the Amzoil after a few thousand miles. I read on some of the Jeep forums that they had good experiences with the Amzoil and Royal Purple.

dealer stuff expensive? what about that $9qt of royal purple? fluids sure have gone up in price since I started working on my projects, thankfully they still take the cheaper fluids like type f

yeah, but type F is getting harder to find.
