409 and 410 may have both been a Texas dealer unloading them.

Gorgeous truck. Only two things I noticed - the driver's side window was out of its track or missing a bumper in the bottom of the door as it was crooked in the door frame. Also, it had the wrong wheels on it as the hubcaps stuck out too far (had to reach inside the hole in the front one to access the locking hubs.

Are they on the block long? They covered the red one last night for a long time. Hopes theres TV coverage tonight on these

Have any Broncos sold for more than $40k ever? I dont think so...

451 should bring $30k+. You bidding on any? Just to bump them up? haha

The one that went for $32,500 last night was up there for a fairly long time. They try to milk every last $ out of them that they can.

A few years back a Stroppe Baja Bronco was in the high 40s at Russo and Steele. And I seem to recall a yellow one at Barrett Jackson bringing $50K+ a few years ago too.

Amazing it brought that much less. You get a chance to see it? What hurt that one? Documentation?

I think I see a door ding on the passenger side, no rear marker lights, looks like it has steering issues as well, and wheels arent helping the price either

This truck was a mess - I hope the buyer gave it a real good inspection and knew what he was getting before he bid. As Asinor noted-issues on the leading edge of the hood. Rusty door posts on both sides (one side had a piece of flat stock welded in for reinforcement). Door/hardtop alignment issues (probably due to door posts). Tailgate had a cap on the bottom - what was THAT hiding? and it stuck out between 1/4-1/2" from the body at the bottom. The entire driver's side floor pan had been cut out and a new piece laid in on top but not really attached to the remains of the old one - so you have exposed edges all the way around with a large gap between them and the panel laid in on top. Passenger's side had about a 3" rust gap between the flat and angled portions of the floorboard - again with a replacement laid in on top of it. Usual rusty spots on the inner fenders up near the cowl except on the driver's side this stuff had just been cut out with no replacement piece put back in - big gaping hole. Entire underside fogged with the resale black paint.

And that was what I saw in a quick 5 minute inspection. Caveat emptor.

Took pics - I'll try and post them later.

I stopped looking after seeing the bottom painted over dirt, grease and all.

Did see the self tapping screws still in place for the floor pans too.

Join us in the Peroni Garage at 9:00 for dad's collector car fraud seminar.

It's running a little behind schedule.

The truck that took the cake for me though was the black one that was missing the front driveshaft and had the hole for the t-case shifter covered up on the floor. WTF? It was also incredibly dusty - looked like my truck after a dusty AZ trail run.

Bronco sale history at BJ: http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appl.../archivecarlist.aspx?year=&make=&model=bronco

I didnt watch much last night, anyone see any on TV? My Mom said Magnante and Debruhl were talking about what they were surpised by and Debruhl said Classic Broncos/SUVs. I guess they couldnt believe the first one went for $31k. Started talking about it being a collector car these days

Be sure to check out all the cars inside the main tent. I'm around that area most of the day unless I'm out looking at something for someone.

I didn't see the orange lubr anywhere until it went across, I'll see if I can find it today.

669 was the one I was describing in an earlier post that wasn't even 4WD anymore. Good luck on that one!

673 was pretty decent although we wondered if it was a re-body as it had '73-newer core support on it. It had a lot of seam and floor work in it (I think the floors were totally flat?). Good looking truck though.

Ya after all the outdoor tents we head inside and hit the vendors, the main stage for an hour or so and then the nice cars in the back.

Bidding yet?

Gotta check out this Custom Vette, lot 5015:

It's down in the grassy area under one of the outside tents west of the two 'premium' enclosed tents.
