Heck yeah Jim, I was thinkin the same thing:) If it was the newer version of Charlies Angels...That one they jumped was for sale a few years ago on Ebay. There were actually 2 blue Broncos made to look alike. The one on Ebay..was for driving scenes and ran. /QUOTE]

My brother in law bought it. It was also in "50 First Dates".

My brother in law is a Ford guy and has gone through MANY vehicles in the fifteen years I have known him, including about 5 EB's and another half dozen other cool Fords. He is an Ebay junkie and bought it for a song some 7am on a Tuesday. The driver seat bottom, and the sheet metal below the seat, had been hacked out to get the proper camera angle and several camera mounts had been added to the roll bar, including some really dumb tube placement; all very primative. In "Charlies Angels", you can see Bill Murray sitting on a Mexican blanket over the driver seat, and it was still in the vehicle when he got it. The exterior was doused in a dulling agent.
The glove box was something that I tore into myself that first day we drove it around town. The truck was (presumably) registered to a girl in SoCal before the film company bought it. There were reciepts for alternators and brake work and that kind of thing jammed in there, in her name, going back to the early 90's, IIRC. There was also the movie studio manifest for the boat ride (with other vehicles listed as well) to Hawaii for the filming of "50 First Dates" (the truck can be seen easily in a few scenes). He did a cursury clean up of the truck, fixed some sheet metal, trimmed the cage, tuned it and drove it a bit for about a year from time to time. It had obviously never been run hard, as it drove really well on the street, even if it had been sky'd in the movies.
He sold it to a guy in New York who had engine trouble within six months of taking ownership. I think he was using it for a daily driver into the city.

Another Rockford Sighting

We're still working our way through The Rockford Files, and tonight we saw one of my favorite episodes, "The Queen of Peru" from Season 4.

In the opening scene, an orange '77 does a nice little bit of stunt work, with a skid/turn/stop on pavement. Looked to be stock height with a hardtop, and the stunt man did a really nice job with the move.

Kind of odd how it was equipped. It had a white painted grill like a base model, but had side trim like a Sport and a tire carrier (no tire on it). Also had a remote driver's side mirror and whitewalls (no wheel covers on gray painted steel wheels). If I had to guess, I'd say it was a '77 Sport that Universal had damaged the grill of in some other production and just threw a white grill onto.

Hi everyone. I've been looking at this site for a while now, but am just now making my first post.

Most all of the broncos I've seen in movies have already been mentioned (the red bronco on Entourage, Gary Allan's black bronco on TRUCKS!, etc.), but I just saw another in this month's Men's Health magazine. It's an earlier dark green bronco with the top off on a beach, and is part of an article about one of the actors in the Tron movie.

There is picture of a dark green 77 bronco on my fridge, which I pulled from Men's Journal mid-year last year. Thanks for all the great information on this site, and I look forward to being a little more involved in the forum and eventually getting a bronco for myself.

Last night we started watching Green Acres from the start. the county agent came in about the 3rd episode in an army jeep then his next apperance was in a red bronco. seems like later on he drove a white one.

Ya know, I saw that little mini-marathon coming on, but had so many other things to do I forgot to watch it. Oh well, glad you caught it.
