Oil pan removal 170 ci inline

Any tricks to getting the oil pan off while engine is still in bronco. Its all unbolted but not enough room at front frame rail!!! Guessing i need to unbolt enging mounts . Thanks

Hi, unbolt the motor mounts and jack it up under the harmonic balancer. You have to clear the oil pump and pickup tube. It can be done. Good luck

Thanks that’s what i did worked out ok. Its ended up a while I’m in here might just do rear main seal and a bolt broke off in the timing chain cover so the front main seal too and new water pump and t stat oh and new hoses. Better stop now before it becomes a frame off!!!
