For what the mats cost, they should match better than that.

Can see where it would be a major challenge to keep front & rear mats from the same run/lot of material together. But they need to figure it out!

Still haven’t even opened mine. I wasn’t even gonna let it sit in the box that long. When I bought it, I was going to just take it out and let it sit and relax.
Now that it’s warm I really should. Space is limited, so I’ll just spread it out in the bronco like I have the other one.
That should be an interesting look. Three layers of sport mats, and a bed mat carpet!

Do it DirtDonk, and when you do, please take pics and post. If it looks satisfactory maybe I’ll try and order again.

I bought the front and rear for the 70 carmel bronze as soon as the rear came available. I haven’t laid them out as I should but I thought they matched closer than those pics. I’ll have to check again.

If you have pics that you could share of these reproduction parchment sport bronco mats, installed or not please post them here.

Smh and find it hard to believe that no one on this site has shelled out the $1,000+ after tax and shipping for these DC repops and taken no pics of them unboxed and/or installed that they could share with us?

My box is almost buried, but now that I'm back from taking a whole half a day off to meet up with my local Bronco buddies for lunch, I need to take time from work to at least open the darn box!
Heading out right now to see if I can get it open before leaving for work (again!) without putting a staple through a finger or three!

Oh wait... A great Doobie Brothers song just came on!
Damn. Concentrate, focus. Concentrate, focus.
Squirrel!!!!

Time does horrible things to the brain...
I forgot that the box was just the front mat, because I'd bought and unboxed the rear mat many months prior.
I forgot how heavy they are, and just how bad my shoulder still is (no surgery yet) and how awkward a semi-floppy rubber thingy can be.
Luckily, the Doobies were on the computer, so I was able to hit the pause button and run out while I was thinking about all this.

It's still tightly folded, so it's sitting on the hood of my truck waiting for the sun to do it's thing. Learning from my previous debacle, ruining some really nice original paint, I put the mat on the cardboard box and will let it sit out all day. Hoping that my neighborhood is still safe from pilfering, and that nobody will know what a valuable piece of rubber that really is.
Will compare it to the other one, that's still buried in the back of my covered Bronco, later when I come back. Initially it looks the same as my memory tells me. But from the previous pics, it's a relatively subtle difference.
But in my case, having bought them so far apart, it'll be interesting to see how well they match.

For now, it's off to one of my other gigs. More to come...

Paul
