Pro flo hood Heater/ AC Vent alternative

Hey Guys,
I have a pro flo fiberglass hood, this hood doesn't have any vents cut into it. under the hood the driver side vent is sealed (waiting for vent storage box to be back in stock)
The heater/AC vent on the passenger side pulls air from the engine bay when using heater or AC... needless to say, I don't use them much.
I have thought of either cutting a hole in the hood, and adding a looverd cover to clean up the hole.
or disconecting the heater box from the vent all together, i believe this would pull air into the heater / AC from passenger floor area.
I am leaning this way as 1. I wouldnt have to cut the hood. 2. my vents will never leak in a rain storm.
Im just wondering what you guys have been doing to overcome this issue.
the AC is a dealer installed A-R-A under dash unit.(not charged at the moment)

THanks for the help.

I disconnected the heater box to suck air off the floorboard. I have a soft top and no A/C, so I'm not sure how it would affect the A/C. But, pulling preheated air from the floorboard seems to help heat the leaky soft top on cold winter days.

Thanks for the quick reply Walker_Creek,
Does the heater box tend to suck stuff in off the floor? did you cover the vent, or plug the remaining hole?

It was one of those "temporary fixes" that never got permanently finished. I just plugged the hole in the kick panel. My Bronco seldom sees pavement, so I may not be the one to ask, but it's probably pulling cleaner air off the floorboard than from a dusty country road.
