So as part of the 203/205 double set up I put in, I also twin stocked the np205. I bought and had installed the modified shifter rails that ORD makes just for this purpose (didn't want to mess with grinding the stock rails).

After everything was installed, I believe that everything shifted correctly before the 205 was installed in the truck.

Now that it is in the truck, this is the scenario--

-the levers/linkage don't seem to have any obstructions
-the rear output lever (pass side shifter) shifts into high/neutral/low with the front output in Neutral
-But, the front output lever (driver side) won't go into high (all the way back), only Neutral and low.
-So, with rear output lever in Neutral and front output lever in Neutral, I went underneath, unhooked front output shifter linkage. Tried to force front shifter rail into high, still wouldn't go into high - but the weird thing is that the pressure of me trying to get front shifter rail into high actually popped Rear shifter rail into low.

Any thoughts on what is going on here? What can I do/check to figure out what is going on? I really don't want to drop the 203/205 again. The setup weighs a ton.

Thanks in advance for your help in figuring this out. I am so close to getting back on the trails, I can taste it!!!

summertown,
If you haven't figured it out yet, give me a buzz. 9312315189. The last guy that brought me one of the bought rails needed some touch up.

I just saw this. I'll try to call you tomorrow.

Will I have to have the 205 pulled in order to grind more off of the shift rails?

Anyone else with any input on the possible issue/fix???

Thanks!

summertown,
Don't pull the transfer yet. Call me first, need you to have the 205 in front of you, and take off the inspection plate cover so you can answer some questions.

Inspection cover--- being the cover you took off to remove the roll pin from the shifting fork and rail..

Okay. I actually did not do the work, but I know what you are talking about. I may not have an opportunity to get out to the garage until later this week or this weekend. Is it okay if I call you whenever I am able to get back to it?
