Well I got to spend a good bit of time in the shop this weekend. Wanted to work on several things. Finished mocking up my front bumper. Painted my coil springs, drop track bar bracket, coil cups and retainers. I also started tearing down the mechanism for my 66 lift gate. The big ones though, I got my 4x4x2 conversion and rebuild done and painted. And I got my 99 super duty hydroboost taken apart, cleaned, polished and painted. Always good therapy to turn wrenches for the weekend.

Springs are from WH and part of their 2 1/2" lift. I scuffed them up and painted them a purple enamel. It is a rattle can, but it is a commercial grade paint.

Purple and gold..... I knew you were from LA even before I checked your signature. My buddy lives in Baton Rouge as well his SUV is covered in those colors. It does not hurt that he owns Tiger Locksmith so he borrowed the LSU colors as well.

Yea I debated a long time on what colors and scheme to go with. I am going to use the more old fashion LSU colors. Antique white with the deeper gold. Current LSU Gold is almost Yellow. Here is the 1960's coke machine I did in an LSU theme.

If your not an LSU fan, its hard to explain. I don't plan on ever selling this rig, but if I did, the LSU Theme, especially the fact that it is going to be a retro LSU Theme, with their old fashion colors, I can add 5 to 10k onto the actual value and sell it locally very quickly.
