What lift is that 3.5"?
How much further back is the 205 using the 203 doubler?
What I'm getting at is on my 205 I had to lower it 2" below the frame so the front driveline wouldn't bind at full suspension drop. I run a wristed radius arm and get lots of flex so its a concern. You will to with the cage arms.
I like the side mount for the 205 you built. I have about 1/4" of space between that area of the t-case and the frame. I was unable to make a mount with 1/4" of space. Now that you raised yours above it gives me some ideas for more t-case support. How about the rear driveline, any bind there? If I raise mine I'll have to run those Tom Woods offset u-joints or get a special set up from high angle driveline for more drop without bind.
Nice job by the way, I remember when mine looked that purty.

I have a 5.5 lift and 2 inch body lift. I would say that my 205 is back about 10 inches versus not having the 203 in there. The 205 is right where the Cage arms mount to the frame. The whole 435/203/205 set up is about 1 inch longer than my stock 3 speed/intermediate housing/D20 was. I hear you on the front drive shaft bind at full droop. I don't have my drive shafts in yet but I think I will be okay because of the HPD44 that I'm running. If it does bind, I'll have to go with the Tom Woods or High Angle shafts.

I have a feeling that it's not going to stay very purty for very long. ;D

While the body is out for the Superliner treatment, I thought I would run some steel 5/16 fuel lines from the tank up the engine. Where the fuel line runs right under the header, I fabbed up a little heat shield to help keep the gas a little cooler. ;D

Like the heat shield idea. Glad you ran your lines first I been debating if I should run on top or inside frame rail. On top looks like it would work well and keep it safe. Also debating weather or not to get a steel Aux tank or not. Ahh the decisions  Guess I need a job first though before I worry about that %)

Happy to be the guinea pig. ;D Yeah it seemed to work out well mounting the lines on top of the frame rails. I ran the supply line up the driver’s side and the return line down the passenger side. Instead of an Aux tank, why not just run the BC tank? You can always carry a jerry can with you. Can you even run your Aux tank having your rocker cut off? Seems like the Aux tank would be hanging down there quite a bit?

I could run the BC tank only but thought another 12 gallons would be nice so I wouldn't have to carry any jerry cans.

I will be running the protofab sliders but even still I believe the aux tank would be visible still. I was thinking with a 3" body lift it would be above the bottom of frame rails and I could make a skid for the bottom to be safe.

I need to decide before I install these two fuel doors because if I run only one then the other door be useless.

If you decide to just run one tank, let me know and I'll buy the second fuel door from you. ;)

Well I've been doing some little stuff here and there while I'm waiting to get my tub back from having the Superliner shot on it. I got some 1 1/4 inch washers and welded them onto my frame body mounts. Some of them were a little rusty and the metal was getting kind of thin. Now I'll have a 2 1/8 inch body lift. ;D

I also fabbed up a mount for my hydraulic clutch slave cylinder. Now I just need to paint it. That's all for now. I'm supposed to get my tub back today so with any luck, I'll have it back on the chassis for good this weekend. :D

Yahoooo! I got my tub back late yesterday, so first thing this morning I put it back on the chassis once and for all! I did the Superliner in black all underneath and the engine bay and then did the interior in a medium gray. I went over the bed rails and tailgate to protect them against scratches when loading and unloading things over the side. I think it came really nice. I am very happy with the Superliner. Here are some pics! :p

Yeah, I'll let you know. The guy said that this Superliner is very easy to touch up later if I accidentally sand some off or if it gets gouged or scratched. I'm going to start on the body work this week. I'll keep you posted. :p

I tried my hand at something new yesterday. PAINT! I've never done any body work or painted a car before so this another step where I was just kinda winging it. It's got a few runs here and there, but I guess those can be sanded out? I just did the tub so far. Now I need to do the tailgate, doors, front fenders, grill, windshield frame and hood. It was fun doing it anyway. :p

I am just curious why you decided to do the liner prior to paint?? I thought about this too, but when I talked to the line-x guy, he recommended pinting first to maximize overlap. I was wondering if its necessary or not?? If you have any thoughts, I would love to hear them. How do you like the Speedliner as opposed to RHino and Line-X? What is the texture and feel like? I have not seen this brand in person yet myself. Its all looking very good. Keep us posted as she comes together.

John

The main reason that I did the liner first was the liner guy wasn't sure if he was going to have to sand blast the tub or not in order to shoot the liner on until he saw the tub in person. Every time I moved the tub around I had to borrow a trailer and 4 friends to lift it, so once it was at the liner shop, I just had him do it. I didn't want to paint and then have them try to sand blast around the new paint. (they did end up sand blasting)

The brand of the liner is "Superliner". It came out really nice. If you get a gouge or scratch in it, you can recoat over the original and it will adhere to itself. The texture is just right. Not too smooth and not too rough. Nice none skid "rubbery" feel to the touch. It was significantly cheaper than Line-X too. My local Line-X shop wanted $1500 to do it and the Superliner ran me $900 for the same thing.

HAHAHAHA ;D You are welcome to come by but my frame is on jackstands again  Sold the 1/2 tons not having any luck finding reasonably priced 3/4 tons (under $800 shipped was quoted $900-1600 local  ) to put into the F250 so now I am looking at buying another set of 60's since I can get a set for $1000-$1200 shipped if I am patient %) So back to square one for me. :'(
