Neither of my broncos have heaters. I've been using the rubber caps on the extra port on the water pump. They keep springing leaks every couple months. Is the a place to get urethane ones or something better besides pulling pump and threading it for a plug?

Then you don't have pressure trying to push a closed cap off.

the looped hose works fine. but if you want better by bypass caps. I was having the same problem with engines at work that are running wind machines for frost protection in citrus. the caps would dry out and crack in a years time. It not much fun changing them at 3:am when it's 26 degrees outside, and some you have climb a 35 FT tower to get to. I started buying blue silicone caps from some ebay seller in china 4 or 5 years ago and have yet have one of them fail.
