Anyone with a 302 and a one inch body lift find radiator hoses that fit better and have good clearances? Thanks

^^what they said^^. What you might be running into is that many of the cheap hoses from the big parts houses are shorter than stock sucking the upper hose close to the fan. Goodyear or better hoses might fix it.

Thanks all. My upper is a Car Quest product. I'll try to find the Gates upper and lower hose numbers.

I went to a NAPA store and bought the lower hose. The upper hose was funky deformed on one end. Checking into the Continental hose. Thanks for the help.

I purchased the continental D70786 upper hose. Unfortunately the center leg section of the hose is 3/4 of an inch shorter than my old hose. That and the extra long end portion of the hose is at 70 degrees instead of a 90. Shorter mid with no 90 won't align with my new 300 dollar Tom's three core radiator upper connection. My old molded hose fits perfectly but it's five or six years old and all the rest of the hoses are replaced. I've spent hours trying to find who's hose it is. The numbers on the hose are 9G78BN AU R4. It has a nice sweeping 90 degree upper on to the upper tank connection. Thanks

The Gates upper hose is 20626, $15 from Oreilly's- 7/8th of an inch shorter on leg to the upper radiator. I bought Dayco 70786, $10 from Autozone, fits well. The leg going to the upper radiator connection is 7/8th of an inch longer than the gates 20626 which made the difference. The ten dollar Dayco wouldn't have been a contender but it's the only hose that fit my Made in Mexico after market radiator with a one inch body lift above the engine attachment. I'm going to pick up a spare Dayco 70786 and check the inexpensive hose frequently. John B
