It may have been mentioned earlier, but I just ran across some pics of the early FoMoCo optional Warn Hubs I took when installing them on our 67 U14 project.

At first glance they appear similar to current Warn Premiums on the outside (however even there they are not: 8 screws vs. 6, solid aluminum housing vs. chromed casting, solid brass dial vs. lacquered aluminum).

Internally they are completely different with lots of machined parts making them up.

Pretty sure the original D30 that came in my truck had those on it. Unfortunately that thing went away long before we cared about such things....

I have a 69 sport with the drip edge trim, radio delete, rocker trim and a ranch hand tire carrier. One day I will get to work on it.

That one has some really "RARE" rear quarter panels too!!!:p:p

Wow, I missed that.

I liked it until now. That looks like Fido's ass as my buddy Karl would say.

I have seen it done with the body line on the tail light housing moved up to match, and that can look really cool., but staggered like that, NOT.

Not really an option, but a Kilometer speedometer is pretty rare. As far as I know only the last half of 1977 Canadian Broncos got them.

I also liked the overall look, but overlooked the rear quarter, what else is putty?

For reference, here is an original box and instructions for these hubs:

Here are a couple pics of the box we got a set of NOS ones in.

The hubs pictured are the actual ones that came on my dad's 66 U13, but when we restored it, we put the NOS ones on and stuck his originals back in the box on the shelf. They look nasty now, but will actually clean up better than the ones I posted pics of above since they have no scratches in the brass or aluminum. Once I chuck them in the lathe for a quick polish, they should shine like new.

No other paperwork or cool graphics on the box like the ones House got though.

The back story on this find is that back on 2000 when my mom and dad were on their way back from buying his 66 U13 in Montana, I located some NOS out in Ohio. I called my dad and asked him if he could divert to Cleveland to pick up some stuff I had a lead on.

It ended up it was a guy who used to race Broncos and he has a pile of NOS parts that they used back in the day just to fix the racers up.

My dad ended up having to lower the tailgate on the U13 to strap in Ford boxes containing 5 full quarter panels, L&R complete door shells, a few sets of door posts and striker posts, and the set of NOS hubs that came in the box pictured above.

That was the best NOS score we ever had in one shot (the next being 14 NOS tailgates back before they reproduced them!).

I love finding cool NOS or hard to find parts!

So i have talked to one other guy about this and would like to know if anyone else has scene this option. I am sorry if someone else has posted anything about this option before hand. But My 66 has from what i am almost positive is a factory installed dash light mounted above the ash tray. It has a chrome cover over it so you can direct the light. So you don't blind they driver i suppose. I haven't seen or heard of anyone else having one as of yet. And it's definetly not the work of some amature. It is perfectly syymetrical in every way. any one else scene this? Sorry my spelling isn't perfect and some keys don't work all of the time. Kind od like my bronco! I love it when it runs good and curse it when it doesn't.

Ok maybe you didn't read the message or just misread. I'm trying to be nice but when a car has no doors why would you need something there to stop those imaginary doors. Well kind of answers it slf. Nothing. All thats there is a rubber plug. Its a special plug to stop special doors.

A pic of this would certainly help.

I've seen quite a few of the little helmet-head dash lights over the years.
While I don't think it was a factory option, I can't say for sure one way or the other.

Post a pic when you can, but I'm pretty sure I know which one you're talking about.
Is the on/off switch a little lever, or is yours hooked into the headlight switch?

Here is one that I never knoew was a FoMoCo option until last week when 1sicbronconut (Steve) told me he had one during some PM's.

I thought it would be a great addition to our work truck themed 67 U14 project and Steve was willing to sell it, so Steve shipped it to us last week and we finished installing it today.

I vaguely recall seeing a step like this in a Bronco before, but assumed it was an aftermarket item like I had seen in catalogs before. I think Carr or someone like that may even still make one sort of like it.

My dad had to work up some courage cutting a big ass hole into finished show quality paint!
