I have removed my rear axles and am having new bearings put on. I also bought new seals to replace the old ones. Any tips on removing those. They don't seem to want to move.

I bought a seal remover from Sears and it worked like a charm. You just hook the lip and pull and they come out. One was rusted pretty badly and it was easy to remove as well.

I've actually used my axle as a pry bar. Worked great, plenty of leverage.

X2 - That's how I get them out as well. Just catch the seal with the very end (spline end) of the axle shaft and use it as a pry bar. Pops them right out.

I never could get that to work easy for me. Id rather beat them out. I just like a hammer i guess.
