Riding too high in rear

Restoration almost complete. I have a WH 2.5" suspension lift with no body lift. I did have to use about 3/16" to 1/4" shims on rear body mounts to get a better door gap, but that is all. I have had the suspension parts on for a year. Just put on top. Have checked, loosened, and rechecked all suspension bolts to ensure they are not binding. The rear sits 2" higher than the front.
Plan is to remove the 3rd leaf down in the rear. Any experience if that will do it or will I need to remove more? Any option to slightly raise the front a bit?

That is very normal, the rear being higher was stock. There are several threads about removing leaves. I believe the 3rd one is the one that most remove.

I literally just put my 67 down on WH 2.5 lift today. No body lift. Same thing except I think I am closer to 3 inch high in the rear. Last two I have done with this same lift. No problem. Wonder why?

Mine started at 2.5" high then after top and full tank of gas it is now 2" high. It has been on over a year so dont think it will settle more. I'm going to take off the 3rd leaf and the very bottom one and see what I get.

Thanks. Once I get the rear end down, I might remove the steps. Just not sure I like the look.

I've had mine for 35 years and two, 2 1/2" lifts. It has always had a nose-down attitude that I have accepted as normal. I wonder what would happen with 3 1/2" springs on the front?

I had to remove 3 of my 8-pack leafs to get my rear end level. (The rear is very light with fiberglass fenders, no top, no tailgate.) If you remove a leaf or 2 be on the lookout for axle wrap. Both WH and Duff's have solutions for that.

I know it’s a personal preference, but I like the stance of the rear up higher than the front. My first EB was a 72 that I bought in ‘80 and it had a rear “squat”. Looked like it was a dog preparing to take a dump…or a modern ‘scraper’.
Not taking a position that I’m right and everyone’s wrong that doesn’t agree with me. Just voicing my opinion.

When I bought my EB, it had a 3.5" progressive lift spring up front and an add-a-leaf in the rear, and it sat about 1" lower in the back. When I swapped it over to a new 3.5" lift front and rear, the rear was then about 2" higher than the front after break-in. I'm currently redoing things with F150 width axles, and I'm going to stick with the 3.5" lift springs from before, and shim the front coil cups to get my nose up a bit...I don't mind a little forward rake, but 2+ inches is a bit much IMO.

Beautiful rig by the way.

I think you should buy some 3.5" springs for the front there cheap and not to hard to change. It will fix the problem

I installed front anti-sway bar that had the brackets that mount under the front spring cups. They aren’t super thick but I got about 1/2 inch to an inch of extra lift in the front and off set the high rear I had after adding new rear
Leaf springs.
