• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

MO Searching for a 200 short block

I am looking for a good 200ci to rebuild. I do not need a cylinder head. I just bought an E1BE head that want to match to a 200ci.

Also, I have the E0BE block that came with the head. But I don't want it because it has the 80s lower starter. If you want to swap, I'm good with that. The block turns easily. I turned it by hand, by flywheel (without compression).

Any 200s out there?

EIBE head

The later log heads had larger intake volume and/or larger valves, so for a log head, it breathes better, than older log heads.

I don't know exactly which one he has, but sometimes ones off a 250 are even nicer, I have the book laying in here I could go through, but I assume the OP likes the head he has located.

Yes, I am so glad I found pretty much the latest head a person can find. It's the best option. The E1BE refers to the Ford part number cast into the top of the head.

Whoops sorry! The head part number is E0BE. The engine block number is E1BE. Got them confused.

I once drove an extra 1.5 hours out of my way and landed a 1980 200 six, pretty good head, don't know the #s, its running in a buddy's bronco here on the east side now after a rebuild. I thought it was a 250, but turned out to be a 200.

I know this one is probably not close enough to go get but I wanted to point out you should look at the pics - he thinks it's a 250 but with 3 water pump bolts & 5 freeze plugs I'm betting it's a 200. I can't tell if it's a high or low starter mount but at $50 if I was close enough to go look it could be a good deal. I know these motors were used in a lot of industrial applications like wood chippers, saw mills, water pumps so keep your eyes open for those as well.
