OK, this may not be in the right place but here is what I am after....

I moved to SW Virginia 3 years ago and recently bought a 73 bronco. I have been looking online for U-Pull it type salvage yards and so far have found nothing. We have a local scrap yard that lets us pull parts but they are not interested in actual salvage, if you see a car today that you may want something, you'd better stop and have them hold it as tomorrow it will be crushed... (I am also doing a frame on resto of an 87 B2 for my son, they had one in with the factory rear tinted windows, I stopped, told them I wanted the windows, he said 30 ea. I said I will be back tomorrow... he said he will have someone move it to the side well the DA that moved it used a claw instead of a forklift and smashed all of the windows....) Does anyone know of any salvage yards within the vicinity of Charllotte, NC, to Roanoke, VA to Knoxville, TN. I figure those 3 citys are within 3 hours or so of me and worth the drive when I go to find my EFI swap parts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Loc.
Memphis, TN, USA, Earth, Milky Way
Install Google Earth, zoom in on your house, then search for "junkyard" or "salvage" or "auto" and it should find several yards. Then start panning around your area & searching again to find more. Note the imagery dates and see which yards were full. Sometimes the placemarks will be off by a mile or 2, but if you follow the road, you should be able to pick out the actual location.

Once you have the locations, you can call to find out if they allow customers on the yard.

I appreciate the response but this am I just scored a complete lincoln mk7 with mass flo 5.0 HO and new AOD with less than 2500 miles on it before wrecked.... Better than a salvage as I have it to pull at my liesure.
