Bbow, you can say that again! I wouldn't have been able to have this cage if it wasn't for his help. I don't know how I can ever repay him!

I am curious how the dash is going to turn out.

I can't get anyone to do anything . I was going to pay 66ALRIDE to pull my transfer case and rebuild it but he want even return my phone calls. And his shop does all the maintenance on our company vehicles. I'll be doing it myself in a few weeks (fresh off a back surgery)

I have a friend of mine that owns a repair shop on 231 just north of Midland City. Garret's Automotive. His labor rates are better than most in town and he is a straight shooter. He isn't going to try to sell you anything you don't need. He doesn't have a markup on parts. If you are headed to Dothan on 231, his place is on the right between Co Rd 14 and 231 BBQ.

Stop by and talk to him. I let have let him work on my daily driver, my mom's car, my wife's car, and recommend friends to him when it is something I don't want to fool with.

Looking fantastic there, JDJ. After spending the better part of my weekend helping a friend put a simple roll bar hoop with rear kickers in mine, I can't even imagine the amount of work that went into that sweet cage. It looks like it also doubles as a playground, so its money well spent!

I'm interested to see that dash turn out...very modern take on an old dash. I dare say you'll be the only one like it. Very cool...

Thanks EBGeek! My friend Chris is actually built the cage and dash. I dropped the bronco off and told him he had free rein over it. I gave him a little input on what I wanted for the cage and you see what I got ! ;D. My girls saw the bronco for the first time in a couple months and they played on it like a jungle gym for sure.

As far as time.... I have no idea. I just in the front half of the cage he had about 12-16 hours. I'm sure he had that much time or more in the rear.

The dash was a complete surprise. I was planning on him just building a cage and that was it, I should have known better. I found out a week after I dropped it off that the original dash wasn't going back in. I am in almost as much sunrise/shock as y'all are. He just sent me the pics last night right before I posted them up here.

Bad part is I think I'm gonna owe him a few arms and a truck load of legs for this build.

nice fab work !! ... the cluster is from ?

Franko, right now there is no cluster. What you see is come cardboard. Chris' original plan was to try to build the cluster housing like you see but to house the factory gauges. He told me last night that plan wasn't going to work. So now I'm looking for aftermarket gauges. Autometer perhaps?

I am planning on having this at Super Celebration next week. It won't be done, I might not have any guages, but we are going to try to bring it and participate in the rides. I will just have to keep the tank topped off.

How's the progress going JD? I'm sure you have been super busy chasing the twins around.

bbow, if you only knew how busy I have been. I have only driven the bronco a half dozen times since April. There is really no change to the bronco since then. I did order some Autometer gauges to fill the custom cluster, but they are still in the box they were shipped to me in.

I had to go out of town for work back in July/Aug. I was gone for almost a month. Hard to get things done when your gone.

Twins ALWAYS keep us busy. That is never ending.

Plus, Chris (by buddy that built my cage/dash) has been busy with work, family, his heep, and travels. I hope that we can get a work day in the next few weeks. We still have to tie the cage to the frame, build a center console, and a spare tire carrier. I doubt we get all that done in one day, but one can hope.

Once all the fab work is complete, I will pull the front and rear bumpers and the cage and take them to get powder coated.

I understand. Mine has not been drivable since March. Rebuilt the C4 but haven't stuck it back in yet. And I don't have twins.
