It makes the speedo work all the time instead of once in a while.

does the clip keep the cable gear pushed on to the out put gear? or are those ears on it supposed to kinda lock the speedo gear on to the cable?...am thinking of making one out for now, till I get to the US mainland on August and get my unavailable parts there, then...
Most parts I can get here are for japanese makes...gotta fabricate most stuff or reman to apply it to my bronco...thanks

The clip holds the gear onto the cable stub. The inner cable (part the turns) is supposed to be the correct length to engage the gear properly when the gear is held in place.

av bronco, that would be a better idea...was wondering if a scout D20 or jeep T18 would have the same piece? there are more scouts here and jeeps galore. some old parts houses still also carry those parts for them.
As for Fords they carry parts for the F seiries pickups and some 78-79 broncos, cuz of 'Del Monte Farms'
sending stuff through DHL better be an item you really need...
I send bigger stuff over by cargo and it takes about 3 months to get here.
thanks again guys...

Considering that the gears and cables are universal among most all Fords for decades...

You should be able to find the clip from nearly any junked old Ford.

X2 just about any old ford probably up through the 80's should have the same clip. Wouldnt hurt to look as old jeeps either as they did use a lot of ford parts.
