Having speedometer problems and suspect the drive gear. Mine is green plastic. I can move it front to rear to center it. but I can also turn it with my finger which makes me believe its slipping. Should you be able to turn it that easy or at all?

No, you shouldn't. You may be able to epoxy it in place but you'll need to remove it first. If the epoxy doesn't work you will to find one from a Ford D20. Green is 6 tooth.
