Ok, great Thanks. I'm kicking around the idea of 3 linking the rear. How much is the front stretched vs. the rear?

I too would really like to see some pics of stretched rigs...I've already gone 2" in the front but would like to go 6" more in the rear to make it 100"...just not sure how it would look.

You guys check out Tito's trail rig. Its stretched 10 inches I believe.

Isn't the body stretched on his rig? Not sure if I want to do all that work but don't mind doing some sheet metal work to fill in the front of the wheelwell

Body, frame...everythings stretched. I think he bought it like that, but its still cool, nonetheless.

I too would like to see some pics. I'm in the process (still measuring/ figuring cost) of stretching one 13", I figure that I can use the before and aft sections of a quarter panel and retain the stock uncut wheel openings. I want to gain room behind the rear seat for two dogs.

You can move the rear springs back about 7" before you run out of frame.
Even if you link it you will only gain another couple of inches before you have to cut out serious amounts of rear body.

What are you guys doing about gas tanks? I've got a fuel cell in the stock location in my Bronco Buggy and I can't move the axle back an inch. I thought about a couple smaller fuel cells behind the front seats, but I don't have a lot of weight in the rear and like the tank there. I'm thinking of just raising it 6" or so.

This is what I did. The shortened tank was recessed into the bed so that the bottom of the tank was flush with the frame rails.
You will also need to deal with the wheel wells.

I moved the rear back 4". I cut out the rear crossmember, then copied a crossmember I saw crawln68 build for his. Was able to move the crossmember back 3.5" and with that the BC23 gal tank.

Nice work, What kind of paint did you use on the crossmember? I like that look.

Do you have a pic from the other side, very nice job on that! I didnt figure the tank could go back much if any at all.

The stretched WB is nice and comes in handy often and only causes issues occasionally on the skinny trails (which we have quite a few of up here).

Like Crewzin said mine is stretched body and frame 12." I didnt do the work, it was a PO but after being under it a LOT these past few weeks with the 5.0 ZF 203 205 doubler install it looks real simple to stretch. On mine looks like the quarters inner and outer were just butt welded and then a piece of 16 ga was used between the seat platform and the bed floor. If you are looking for more than just a longer WB (room, etc) then its not a bad mod and they can still look pretty good. A couple tips if you do think about this route is that the 60's f100s shared similar panels, just longer as the Bronco so the quarters can just come from these, heck you could even use the majority of an f100 bed. The tail light panels are the same too. Anyways, I really really like mine and am making use of the room inside for my ever expanding family as well as fun wheeling. If you have any Q's on mine let me know, I'm glad to help. FWIW I think the drivetrain that I put in might be about as perfect as you can get for everything. Only thing I would do different would be to put a 3 or 4 speed t-case in to save room for more rear shaft (mine is now stock length) but that also would have meant about 2k more $ as the doubler is a fairly affordable option if you have the room.

Pics...first 2 are as I got it, next is in between stage with FW's and 5.5 lift just installed and last ones are of it currently, well before I gutted the drivetrain.

I honestly wish I could take credit for that pic. That was a pic of what I copied. I dont have paint on mine yet...still fighting with a few small details.

Tito, here are some pics of what Crawln68 posted. This is the thread where I found those at. http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66649

Mine are the rusty ones ;D but I hope to remedy that soon.
