Are these the correct bolts to mount the t-case to the transmission adapter? I have 6 of them, and they are the correct diameter, but they seem a bit short.

Those look right. I put studs there to make it easier to install and remove the tcase.

Yep. Those look like the right length.

Viper,

Another brilliant tip with the studs instead of bolts for easier install/removal. THUMBS UP! ;D
Do you Locktite the studs or anything to prevent them from backing in and out or no worries once torqued down? Regular old nuts fine? Again, great idea, I hate hoisting that pig 20!

I put studs there to make it easier to install and remove the tcase.

I just used some thread sealant, flat and lock washers and nut. You need to chamfer both sides of the bolt holes in the adapter lightly to get it to slide easily on the studs. I did the same for the trans end of the adapter.

Nice. Better believe I'll be doing this next time I drop the 20 in my '72! Thanks Viper!

I think if those are 3/4" to 1" (max) of thread long, he should be fine. I think there is at least 1" in the case of thread into the case. Some might be able to check off a spare 20.

Okay, Broncobowsher, you had me worried. %) I had to check. ;)

You have about 7/8" of thread before you hit the inside of the Dana 20 and the gears. Stock C4 adapter is 1/2" of meat. If you stick with bolts with 1" of thread you should be golden.
