I think I upgraded it by spending something like 15 - 20 bucks/yr.

In the winter we are in untracked snow, might be snowing hard enough to see 50' and we can wind our way thru the trees over 8' of snow and be exactly where we think we are...

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the explanation, I guess I am behind the times...;D

Have you never listened when I've talked about this - not only do many Samsung have the built in GPS -

you can install a blue-tooth amp and speakers and just play music off your tablet (or phone)

I want to make a center console with removable tablet holder so I don't mess with the dash on the 66

HAHAHA hucklburry...

I have run an amp off my Samsung for years. No radio, no dash hole, just an amp that also has bluetooth so I can be legal when driving and answer my phone hands free.

I have to coast or be doing about 35 mph or so since I have an open wind screen on my 1/2 cab and lots of horses but it's very doable if I'm coasting or cruising thru town.

App Update

So, I purchased GAIA Premium because they have a July 4th sale at 50% off for the first year.

And I kept the OnXOffroad subscription. I was in error earlier- it is $30/year not per month (for the first year).

I'll try them both and then cancel one next summer.

They both look good and they each have different strengths and weaknesses, so it will be interesting to see what are like.

Post up which you like best. Gaia like I mentioned works really good off ANY road which is what we use it for.

Good luck!!

Yeah, our snow-bashing here at 2100’ just ain’t the same. I’ll dig out my old skis and a tow rope, meet up next winter and you can drag me through the powder! No expensive lift tickets to buy….
