Chattanooga is a nice area. Have you moved down this way?
Not yet, probably at least a couple years out. Going to start developing the property while still living in WA. I think we might just bring in a doublewide, but nothing is set in stone yet.

Great thread, not sure you have ordered your harness yet but if you or haven't I have it on good authority that the Painless harness has some wires that do not jive with their included schematic. I just ran into this over the weekend!

I am told that Autowire is a better way to go.

Too late, I did get the Painless so thanks for the heads up.

Much more clearance. On to motor mounts.

Well I was humming right along with my new passenger motor mount until my welder tip got buggered up and I didn't have any spares left.

The oem mustang mount would have put the isolator on top of the frame rail. Now it fits between the block and frame. The driver side will be fine.

Using hydraulic corvette isolators.

You didn’t want to go through the fun of having the cast aluminum welded again. Lol
Not particularly! I didn't see any way to salvage it, just too bulky.

I got it finished, paint is drying. I'll snap a pic early in the morning before I leave for a day of wheeling.

Only had red paint around, I guess it's faster now.

Good day. Went to a swap meet and scored a center console for cheap, then got busy on the motor mounts. It's exactly where it needs to be, just need to make a couple simple U shape frame side mounts and tack them in then the whole drivetrain will come out for final welding and finish up a couple things on the drivetrain.

Not to burst bubbles or ruin dreams or get ya worried in the least but a good friend (guy who I posted our Bronco's back in 1977 or '78 with Christmas trees on the top), ANYWAY, he moved to Tennessee 2 1/2 yrs ago, beautiful place, put in a swimming pool, acreage... he's moved back just last week. :)

He missed his hills! He had no place to go. Everything is private property and we access- every year is less than the next year but we can still get up in the hills.

His wife got moving expenses and they are happy as heck again.

Maybe it won't work out, but I know I'm not coming back to WA. Maybe ID, MT, or UT.

Easy peasy. Time for a full weld out.

Just when I thought it was smooth sailing, the Mountune coolant outlet I ordered doesn't fit, it hits the high pressure fuel pump. The stock outlet mostly clears except for the heater core nipple. I can either have the Mountune outlet cut and welded to fit or delete the heater nipple and plumb the heater from elsewhere. Option 2 is looking good.

Also I can't find my Mountune vacuum pump delete. 😬 I don't want to spend another $100 on a second one...

Edit - went with option 2, cut it way back and tapped to 3/8 NPT. I'm going to try a elbow to nipple first, if there's not enough room I'll just put a plug there and tap in elsewhere. And I found my vacuum delete, crisis averted.

100 is too hot for this so I settled for something easy so the day wasn't a total waste.
