Motorweek this weekend they highlighted Todd's Bronco book. Nice to see the mention in mass market.

One of these days I'll get a signed copy. Was hoping to catch Todd at the Stampede this year, missed that. And the annual trip to SEMA, that is out as well.

Thanks for mentioning that, Tim. I had no idea that was mentioned - I'll have to watch for it now. Was it on Motorweek, as in John Davis, Pat Goss and the gang on PBS? I used to watch them all the time in college in the late 80s/early 90s.

What episode # was it?

Thanks,

Todd Z.

Yep, same guys.
I get a big kick out of their little "then vs now" segments showing them doing their thing something like 30-40 seasons ago. I'd say everyone looks a little different than when you last saw them.;);D

Looks to be S40, EP7 maybe. That's the one that first aired yesterday. Haven't seen it yet myself, but looking forward to it!

Thanks Paul - I was wondering if it was episode 007. Looks like I can find it online next week sometime.

I watched Motorweek back in the 88-90 era. I worked late nights at the front desk of my dorm and it would come on right before Letterman, as I recall. There wasn’t much happening in the dorm lobby late at night so I could watch it without distractions!

Thanks again for mentioning it, Tim and others.

Todd - is there any validity to the second book rumor?

There is another book being written on Bronco racing right now. It will come out in 2021 if all goes to plan. I was offered the chance to write it but turned it down to give myself a bit of a break.

A friend and I are planning to do another Bronco book on a very specific niche in the Bronco world. Publishers aren't interested in stuff like that so it will likely be self-published.

Very cool, Todd! Another old Motorweek watcher here.
"...and if we use your question on the air, we'll send you Motorweek t-shirt."
Thanks Pat. ;) ;D

A lot of their back catalog is on youtube. It's fun to watch reviews of older vehicles from 80s/90s. It's useful if you toy around with buying an older vehicle to work on.

There was one from about '96 with the new 7.3 power stroke. Fully optioned it could tow 10,000 pounds. There are half tons that are rated 30% higher than that now.

LOL - remember that well! Oh, and that their mailing address was in Owings Mills, MD. I think their staff when I watched was John Davis, Pat Goss, and a woman named Lisa?

John Davis' son is a regular tester now too. He was probably born near to, or maybe even after the show started.
Good old Owings Mills, and Roebling Road Raceway for those trips south!
