To your question about whether the WH steering linkage will work with the full-size Pitman Arm. The answer is, not without a little assistance.
The tapered hole for the rod end is much larger on the full size than the early bronco. Especially the 76/77 bronco, which yours is meant to work with.
So you’ll need one of the tapered shims to allow the smaller rod end to fit tightly in the larger Pitman Arm. Not sure of all the exact sizes and if ours will work or if you have to go with someone else’s.
Somebody at the office can give it a try though.
It’s been so long since I’ve done it I don’t remember which ones work or if you’ll have to swap the 76/77 draglink for the earlier 66/75.
But it can probably work either way.

Thanks Paul, how about using the 1 ton TRE that James suggested. Is there a 1 ton TRE that will screw on to my WH drag link?

OR is there a one ton or heim tie rod/drag link steering that work well with my plan.

May as well beef up the steering while I’m at it.

No idea about an SRE, but while the 1-ton rod ends discussed will probably slide right into the tapered hole, it won’t match up to the threads of the draglink adjuster.

Thanks, I hope all this custom work is worth raising the track bar and tie rod on the passenger side by 1.5" to flatten things out. It would be much simpler to just get a stock pitman arm, go TRO and just raise the track bar on both ends by 1.5" or 3" keeping them parallel.

Pulled the coils at lunch and compressed the suspension. The limiting factor is my tie rod against my track bar drop bracket at full turn on the wheel. First picture.

Honestly Im not sure I'll ever see this much compression under full wheel lock. If I do, Im in a tough spot or just before Im on my roof.

But to gain full compression I will have to raise the trackbar on both ends 3" or not be able to flatten things out as much I would like.

* Oh did I mention Im building a 351? So the oil pan is about 1" lower in the front and could come in contact with the trackbar.

The drag link does clear the frame cross member luckily. Bunch of pics...…..

After all this measuring, mock ups and your great comments, I think I'll have to skip the track bar riser and TRO. Doing so puts my TB too close to the oil pan and my tie rod into my TB bracket. I moved back to tie rod under and have good clearance. Bummer as I was really hoping this would work out better.

If there are any other ideas, please let me know.

Pic of TRU and fully compressed.
