After You hook Your trailer Up take a tape and measure the wheel opening over the back wheels to the under side of wheel arch on the Box side( lets say it's 10") -1"to2" from that would be 8" then load Your trailer and shoot for the 8" and Your good to Go.
I do that too, it works well.

16' + 2' beaver tail. Wide kit, drive over fenders, 2X 3500lb axles with brakes on BOTH axles. This is the best towing trailer I've ever had to use, and I've rented and used a ton of stuff. Sometimes I forget that it is behind me weather its being towed with a 99' Tahow or my 86' F350 - very smooth and turns like a dream with the tires back so far.

Lots of room up front for junk - I can easily fit a 4 wheeler without the truck box on there. With the truck box I've got tons of room to work on the truck and strap it down. Whatever you get, make sure you get some d rings on it, they are awesome for strapping things down and using them in a block and tackle setup.

My idear of the perfect trailer right there. My 16' is too short and not closed in the center though it has done yeoman service hauling my EB all over the USA. Many is the time I've wished it had more deck between the 'lanes' and a couple more feet to it.

Only two pics of those shown are correctly loaded That's hartbroncos & KyleQ the rest are tongue heavy. And there's a bronco on the trailor backwards, had he driven it straight on his would have been to heavy in front. KyleQ left his back so the trailor is carrying the load instead of his bumber which is the correct way. Take your truck measure its heigth at back bumper then place 500lbs at the back of your bed and measure again. then the next time you load your trailor pull your truck up until you reach this measurement again and stop. See were your at and I bet it not at the front of your trailor as some of you are doing. Yes you may have done it for years but you've just been lucky, The one time your luck runs out and it's loaded incorrectly your insurance isn't going to pay for the damages and pray nobody get's hurt or killed. Then will it be worth the 10 minutes you saved by not doing it correctly???????

Good point - most of the pics of Bronco's on trailers don't look very safe. The weight HAS to be centered over the trailer's axles, anywhere else and you are asking for trouble.

A loaded trailer is nothing, the Bronco sits there loaded with fuel, tools, powertank, spare fluids for everything, spart parts for most under the hood stuff, bags of nuts and bolts, hi-lift etc etc etc. I've got everything, even TP :)

In the bed of my pickup I've got camping gear, probably firewood, enough food and liquor to feed and drink 5 guys for a week even though it's only my GF and I for the weekend. The truck box is full of goodies too, chains and semi tire tools (I can change any size tire, anywhere) and all sorts of electrical goodies.

I can get away with a bed-full of sh!t because my trailer is properly loaded-

Ok so in the class right now. Because I am moving all of my possessions except the trucks through tmo its not looking good for any sort of trailer reimbursement. So I am left with two choices. Rent a Uhaul trailer or buy one. Bottom line is I WANT and do kinda need a trailer. I'm only about half way there to retirement and will need to move 2-3 more times. So I am leaning towards buying a trailer in san Diego. Yea the matson terminal is in LA but I am shipping the 69 to SD and flying there. Also all our friends and family is there. So it looks like the hunt is really on now, I need to make some phone calls and see what's up. Goose neck is out of the question because the dogs will be riding in back so bumper pull is the only way.

If you are looking at moving a few more times, maybe you should look at an 18-20 enclosed? Use able for more than just the Bronco..

True but with the size of my bronco it puts the cost of the trailer out of budget.

Not required as the military moves all his stuff. All he needs to move himself really are the autos.

If they won't pay for a Uhaul rental then I'd just buy one outright. I'd opt for a heavier 18' type with brakes on both axles myself. They'll still pay for weight as you're doing a partial DIY move so that'll reimburse for part of it.;D

I have 18' trailor (plenty of room) and 7K rating. Raptor pulls it great.

With my full widths and 12.50 tires, I am close to 83" wide. Just something to think about. Full widths, backspacing, tire widths, etc....

That is a nice looking trailer.

Your right and that trailer seems to fit the bill on width and length. Now the trouble is finding a place to park it and the 69 when I am moving.

That trailer has no beavertail - a no go in my book. Obviously with boggers I don't need ramps, which sure is nice. I'm on 1 ton full widths with 10" wheels with 3.5" of back spacing on 37" boggers - take a look how nice it fits on my trailer.
Note: I'm ditching the stupid wide rear axle for a narrower 65" wms D70.

Why is the beaver tail so important?

Not a big deal enless your loading cars, most ramps are 5' and with a flat deck the car tend to bottom out. In that case a extra heavy duty tongue jack works nice so you can reduce the angle.

easy way to do it is step back and look between your tires on your trailer and there is a bar that has the rear front leaf spring connected and the other side of the bar is attached to the front of the rear leaf spring.....that bar equalizes front and rear loads...we have DOT check us on this all the time....good rule of thumb is to have that bar level when your truck is on the trailer.....
