Ive got a 36' and love it for both Bronco's. Yeller has moved it around the country a few times himself. I like having the extra room for moving the weight around and room for if I buy anything. While mine weighs in around 6k+ I still enjoy pulling it versus a bumper pull 18'.

mines triple and I've put nearly 100,000 trouble free miles on it. If they are set up right they are just fine, I've been there too and said no never again, but got a deal I couldn't pass up, and figured for the price I could reconfigure if needed. If just doing a tandem, you will want 8k axles and either high end all steel (no nylon or polyester belts) 14 ply rated 16's or 17.5" commercial truck tires on it. I run the 14 ply tires on all of my trailers. I will never go back to running regular trailer tires again, IMHO they are all 1 time use disposable POS's that need to be replaced after nearly every use. And I've tried them all from cheap to expensive even the 2 brands that are made in the USA are junk. I've left enough of them scattered across the highway to about buy my own tire plant.

So what brand 14ply tire are you running size and style?

I've been running these the last few years and like them the best of anything I've run and are far less expensive than the Goodyear G614, my absolute favorite but at nearly $400ea just not viable. I get them from Gateway Tire in Tulsa but this is the same tire.
https://simpletire.com/catalog?width=235&ratio=85&rim=16&brand=343&query=catalog

If you don't need the capacity I also really like the Michelin XPS Rib and is priced right in the middle between the other 2 but are only E rated at 3040#. And for note the G rated Goodyear G614 is 4000# and the G rated Synergy tire is 4400#. The Michelin is available in multiple sizes but the Goodyear and Synergy are only available in 235/85-16.

Here is my rig.......

It's a 24' deck. The rear wheel of the back Bronco is about a ft. on the deck. The rear bumper is almost even with the tail of the trailer.
I have pulled it around in the Smokies and on several trips of over 300 miles. Never any issues.

Interesting, do you tow that with the srw chevy in the pic?

No, that is my company truck.
I pull it with a very similar Z71 with a load equalizing hitch. If you go with a bumper pull, please invest in the hitch.
Picture is on the way to SC in April.
BTW- My door gaps are not like the picture appears. The doors are open. LOL!

Good thread - I'll be looking to pull doubles with a new F350 and I'm curious about options. I'm not even sure what is legal at this point-

As far as legal it's dependant on the state but generally as long as it's your stuff and your not getting paid your good to go. Some states require a non commercial A class license but most do not, your not in Cali or NY so shouldn't be a big deal. The biggest deal is federally you are exempt. If your real worried about it. Get a trailer 4' longer than you need and add a box on the front with a port a potty a sink, micro wave and a bunk; instant RV and your exempt from everything

I don't pull two very often but have a few times on a 30' gooseneck. It didn't have ramps so we had to improvise.

Not sure what it's like on a single rear wheel truck, but on the dually it's not hard to feel if broncos are sitting in the wrong spot on the trailer, especially on Oklahoma highways.

From what I see just south of the Red River, ya'll don't get enough speed in OK to make a trailer pull bad. I see OK tags running 35 on straight hwy, but they get into a curve and speed up to about 80. What's up with that??? SMH.

I want this one to pull with............

That bed will put you close to over weight with the truck alone. LOL. Dad keeps his loaded with materials full time and it's a few hundred under GVWR.

Get a trailer 4' longer than you need and add a box on the front with a port a potty a sink, micro wave and a bunk; instant RV and your exempt from everything

One day, i'm gonna use this rule....

Not sure either, those must be eastern OK folks. Straight, flat and full of humps, bumps, holes and bridges that don't sit level with the rest of the highway on my side of the state.

We love our 34' dovetail...the hydraulically operated section is very handy.

I recently acquired a nice slide-in pickup camper to mount on the front of the trailer...when we're only hauling one EB.

I've been wanting to build a low deck with a hydraulic dove tail, just not much room for all that stuff under there.... I love my slide in on the trailer.

..Not a good picture of out 32 ft gooseneck. I just gave $2100.00 for it. Still has the org floor in it. But now has all 4 new tires. & Been rewired once .. & Bearings packed once . We've had it about 6 years I believe.
It pulls much better with the Bronco in place.
.. Camper is 8ftbed & Maybe 4 inches past the bumper . & Then we added the 4ft Moon Room behind the camper so we have a Privy .. & more storage..
... & There is about 3 ft between the camper & the bumper of the Bronco .
............
..DIESEL TRUCK I don't know it's back there most of the time. But after 5000 ft elv. & Climbing I began to feel it.
..........
... My 2000 DIESEL TRUCK STOCK BUT A Programmer for towing .. It get terrible mileage ... But on the 550 mile trip out to the ranch in NEW MEXICO. It gets about 8 going out but 11 on the home trip.
... With out the trailer here in town & the bed full of farm stuff. I get maybe 16mpg.

Here is what I decided on, had built, and just picked up last Saturday morning.
26 ft, 15K, bumper pull built by Kaufman Trailers in Lexington, NC. I looked and studied a lot of different configurations and setups and with the help of Yeller (big thanks) pulled the trigger on this about 5 weeks ago. My truck is setup for gooseneck but I wanted to keep the weight down as much as I could and still be able to lock things up in the bed of the truck. I haven't gone down the road with both of them loaded yet but so far I couldn't be more pleased. It is very well built. The trip back to Ohio Saturday was 450 miles empty, part of it through those hills between I-81 and Charleston along I-77. Unless we were hitting 80+ mph it beat us to death empty, but was expected as it's longer, heavier, and stiffer suspension. I had been a little concerned about getting into my driveway where I keep my 73 (green). Gated community and you are not allowed to leave anything parked on the street, and you are not supposed to have trailers in the driveway overnight but I do occasionally and nobody ever says anything. I was actually able to back it in easier than the 16 ft trailer I had, the position of the axles combined with the extra ground clearance let it clear going up at the angle I needed. The 16 ft would scrape if it wasn't positioned perfectly. I loaded the 73 and pulled it 20 miles yesterday to my Daughters house where my other Bronco is kept. It wasn't a very noticeable difference pulling 1, no doubt with 2 will be considerably different but I feel like it will pull very well.
With both loaded there is enough room to adjust a little bit and still keep the bumpers apart. I was short on straps plus it was a rainy day yesterday, smarter to wait until a dry day to test run fully loaded, should be able to get them both out and test within the next couple weeks. Here's a few pics.

Sadly, there are 4 trailer places local to where I'm at in Ohio, not a single one would work with me to build what I wanted. They were only interested in selling cookie cutter trailer they built or had on the lot. Kaufman Trailers worked with me right from the get go, and saved me $2500+ of what I would have paid locally for something not exactly what I wanted. I will update this later on to verify I'm still as happy as I am now, but for now, I highly recommend them.

Congrats and nice trailer!!! What does it weigh empty? How much tongue weight empty?

I have a similar looking trailer, but it's a 22' PJ equipment hauler with a split tilt-deck, 14K rating and it weighs just shy of 4000# empty with 800# tongue weight. I have also been pleasantly surprised with how well it pulls, empty or loaded, and I have a similar tow rig to yours (F250 crew, short bed, 6.7 diesel).
