What is the difference between a 3spd manual and C4 auto crossmember? Are they the same?

The 3 speed gets covered in 90 weight gear oil when the transmission leaks and the C4 gets covered in type F when the transmission leaks.

There is no difference.

How about the AOD is there crossmember modification required?

I swapped a built up c-4 in my 69 for the 3 spd I will be swapping for an auto but want the AOD this time.

Extensive modification or preferably replacment with homemade or aftermarket.

Dont forget the need for new drive shafts now that you'll be moving the cross member back. About $450 front and back
