Transmission/Transfer issues

A few years ago I converted a 3 speed to a C4 automatic. My transfer case has leaked from every where since I had the Bronco. I took it to a mechanic friend of mine to see if he could seal it up a while back. He said trans fluid was leaking into the transfer case and the majority of the leak was coming from the push rods that the shifter is connected to. He drained it down and it slowed down.

Well, I drove it 5 hours each way to the Super Celebration this past weekend. Going up was fine, no issues. Coming back it was fine until near the end. It was very hot and the fluid leaked out and coated my under carriage. My theory is that the pressure built, the fluid expanded and it had to get out.

Sorry, now to my question....What seal do you think is leaking? I assume there is one on the transmission side and the transfer side. I remember installing the shaft. Does it have seals?

Seal is in the T case adapter section. common for it it leak. you may want to make sure the transmission vent hole is clear if plugged the pressure has to go somewhere.

Just fixed one with the same problem. Trans fluid would leak into transfer case causing overfill, then would leak out of shift rail seals and eventually out the vent. Replaced seal in the transmission adapter. Problem solved. No more leaks.
