I am considering going to a twin stick T/C shifters on our 77. Stock body no lift, C4 trans, is it possible to cut the flags on the T/C rods without dropping the T/C? Also, are there templates for the new boot hole, and can the work be done through that new hole in tunnel?

This kit will allow for what you want to do.

The cover will let you cut a big enough hole to do the work without dropping the t-case. The hole for the shifter boot is already in the cover. For a template when needed just use the trim plate for the boot but i don't think you would need to do additional cutting.

I used a long reach cut off tool through the existing hole. Took time, but worked!
