Paging CRAWLIN68!!!!

Patrick is the only guy I've seen do it. Check out his build thread over at norcalbroncos.com.

2.13 at the portal.
So take the desired ratio and divide by 2.13 or take a gear ratio and multiply by 2.13
A 2.73 ring and pinion, 2.13 portal box = 5.81:1 (combined) final drive ratio

Where do I find the 2.47 ring and pinion gears for the 9"?

I can't seem to find them... Maybe they're a custom cut?...

I have tossed a few sets of 2.47 gears tossed away. They are the most common ratio found in the Lincoln Versailles rear disk brake 9 inch axle. I think they may be in a lot of the larger cars from the 70's as well.

Thanks Bronco73,

I almost forgot that I have a Lincoln 9" with discs stashed on the side of the house. In fact it's one of the 9" housing that I'll use with the unimog ends...
I'll check the gear ratio.. This is getting good....;D

Would the diff be 31 splines also?

The 2.47 R&P's are discontinued. Your (our) only choice is to find them used. I found a set at my local you-pull-yard in a 78 Ford Ranchero. If I had a front mog/9 to match my rear, I would a 3.50 R&P. But I had to try and match my front D60 R&P which is 5.13, so the 2.47 was the closed that I could get.

Mad, that's a full size lincoln axle and they may not always have the 2.47 ratio like the Versailles axle. All the lincoln/car axles are 28 spline set ups. With the exception of the older mustangs with the BB engines.

Is it for sale?
What is the tooth count on the pinion and ring gear on these?
