On the kids truck there is a vacuum port on the passenger side near the thermactor choke. Is this one for the distributor ? Is it normal manifold vacuum or is it something else. Where is the normal source of vacuum for the distributor, is it off the carb or straight manifold ?

Timed it tonight and it is scary how easily this thing starts and idles.

Thanks for the diagrams. They help, only I do not have all of the emmissions stuff as it is a 71 ( it was a 6 now it is a v8). I also only have a single port on the distributor, no vacuum retard port.

What does this mean cvbnm,..// Its early for me.

Thank you.
