Waterpump leak..

weep hole leak. replaced water pump.

How long was that leaking Mad? Or is that the color of the water in your radiator!
I know you live where salty air is a way of life, but hopefully you're running anti-freeze in the system. Looks like it was rusty to start with.
Unless that color is from some kind of stop-leak that you might have added previously?

I always wondered what that hole in the pump was for... :unsure:
It creates a leak when the seal fails inside the water pump alerting you of pending doom before the bearing completely fails sending the fan through the radiator:eek:

Typically, the seal fails as a result of the bearing beginning to fail, alerting you of pending major issues.

Not sure how long, I would just top it off with our tap water and drive, best in the world water filtered through our mountain dikes IMO. we still drink water from our source here in Kalihi. Not connected the Red Hill contamination disaster that happened here a few years ago.
Antifreeze is too expensive here but we do mixes for corrosion protection.
