Cool find in it. Original owner was from Bridgeport Tx. I bought it about 40 miles away. The interesting part is it spent almost all of its life around Odessa area and came back close to where it originated. Inservice date is Halloween of '70.
I've never seen this one. It's a light. Works like a cigarette lighter. You push it in for light. Maybe these were common in the day but I'm 42 and never seen one.
Pulled the fuel line before the fuel pump and drained the tank using a little air pressure. Some nasty old varnish in it. After draining most of it, I pulled the tank. As nasty as the sending unit is I don't think it will save. Gonna take the tank to have it vatted and cleaned. We'll see what we get....
