I decided to start a new thread just for the pictures of the old Bronco club; Western Washington Bronco Busters.

For those that don't know I grew up in that club, see my post here: https://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=311610

Anyway, back in the the clubs would organize under a larger association, in this case it was the Pacific Northwest 4-Wheel Drive Association (PNW4WDA). The Association would host "Play-Days" or races or trail runs and our club almost always participated.

All the clubs would wear their "colors", usually a jean jacket adorned with the club patch on the back and patches from the various events you had attended.

We also did a lot of beach and camp site cleanups, we worked with the WA state dept of Ecology and cleaned up areas where bikers or hippies would leave garbage.

Anyway here is a picture of me, probably around 1975 or so I was 5 or 6

I still have the jean jacket....

Here is an old picture of my Dad's Bronco, from 1968, the year he bought it. They took the top & window frames off and folded the windshield down.

here is one from 1974, he had a home built bumper and a Warn Bellevue winch on it. They were getting firewood, my Dad was winching logs out of a pile

The yellow Bronco at the front of the pack was wrecked in an accident years later, some of the parts ended up on my Bronco

This was on the "Shoe String Trail", it covers part of the route the early settlers took on what is known as the Naches Trail over the Cascade Mountains

The owner's name was Al I believe, it was a 1976 Ranger model

This is the rig the club raced at the 1977 Mint 400 desert race, I think the owner's name was Carlos.....

These are awesome pics. Makes you wonder how many of these rigs are still around, and if any of them wound up with folks here on CB. If only they could talk, the stories they would tell.....

Wow! Thanks for starting a thread on the WWBB!... and for the vintage pictures too! I like looking at Broncos with that 70's and 80's look more than the new builds of today!

Wow, cool, thanks for sharing.
I have one of the big B club decals and a few of the PNW4WDA patches in my collection of stuff…

I have more questions than answers.
Old school cool 😎 for sure. Something about old pictures that just warms my heart, don't know if it is because of the way people were or just what. Nobody did the selfie crap back then, just people actually having fun.

Thanks for sharing.

Not quite as old, my kids and my friends kids in Moab, my friends FJ. Just a different time.

Great thread, enjoying all the photos/history.

I got my hands on a bronco from WA with two fender stickers of the off-road club it came from, "Oh-No 4-Wheelers". They were based out of Goldendale, WA. I will try to post pictures of the logo soon. anybody heard of them?

Digging the 70-80s off-road club culture and would be thrilled to locate a photo of my bronco from "back in the day". Apparently this club participated in those "play-days" as well.

I would love to get my hands on some PNW4WDA or vintage WA 4x4 club memorabilia.
