What is the best fuel injection donor vehicle? - yes another efi thread

I have searched and read many threads... What is the best vehicle to purchase as a donor vehicle with a 5.0 fuel injected motor. I read several times that the 96 and early 97 Explorers were best. Is that the answer?

Any insight as to what is the best and easiest to convert would be appreciated.

That was indeed helpful. Appears the computer out of a 89-93 Mustang is the goal for the computer. That said it seems like an entire Mustang donor vehicle from those years should supply everything needed.

Please post if I am incorrect.

Mustang will probably be the easiest all things considered.

As far as which system is "BEST" , that is a bit like asking what color looks best on a Bronco.
You'll hear about every color in the rainbow , but of course , Yellow Broncos are the sharpest looking.
Be sure to explore that site in detail , there is a wealth of information.
