I'm going back to a stock main fuel tank from Jeff's Bronco. I'm running 33's and have an Edelbrock 1406 4bbl. Does anyone remember the mileage range of the 13 gallon tank?

Any response would be appreciated.

Engine, transmission, gearing and average speed driven, city or highway mostly? Those will make a difference in the milage. Just off hand without knowing any other info probably around 150 miles per tank.

It's going to be highway miles. I've got a 302, C4 automatic transmission, 3:73 rear gears. 33 inch tires, Edelbrock 1406 4bbl.

all depends on your mileage.8mpg =91 miles

this and really only this ;D (although the math seems off)
engine size, carb size, tire size etc..........won't give you the answer.

I can drive my rig and get 8, 10, 15 and hell I've even pulled 16.5 mpg just by changing my driving habits. all with the same motor, carb, tune, tires etc.

I got around 9 mpg with a carb. Range was about 100 miles and it was pretty empty by then.

When I had one I figured 100 miles was pushing it. School was 120 miles away, always made the gas stop half way at the 60 mile mark. It was just a good place to stop anyway. Nothing around the 90 mile mark in one direction.

With a flaky main sending unit, I used to fill up every 100 miles. It was easy to remember and wouldn’t leave me walking.

My dad's place in wrightwood is about 100 miles from me. When I would drive the 72 up(33's, 3:50gears, 3spd and 351w) I would need to get gas after driving up there. After adding long tube headers I could drive there and get about 1/2way back before needing gas.

Man that’s a really open ended question. As started most Broncos average 10mph. I’ve gotten as high as 16 on the highway doing a steady 55 with the windows up but that has been rare as I don’t do 55 very often for 3-4 solid hours. My brother and I on a dare filled his stock tank up to the top of the filler neck and drove nonstop for 220 miles until the truck coughed and ran out of gas just to see how far we could go. Hot, windows up, backroads 3 on the tree 4:10 gears and 31x10.50 all terrains.

I've laughed in agreement with the responses so far....

I sure don't get far with my dual stock tanks. I get around 9 mpg like everyone else.

My fuel gauge doesn't work, so I filled my tank every 100 miles on the odometer with a carbed 351W, 3-speed manual and 33's. I'd usually put anywhere from 10-12 gallons into it depending on how I drove.

I'm a little surprised how low most are. 302 with qjet, np435, 4.11 gears and 33" at tires. Rarely run over 55-60mph and get 12mpg consistently, little higher if I'm easy with the accelerating.
