Man that is a lot of work for what looked like a nice Bronco to start with, I think I saw it listed earlier this year. I guess I will keep "over paying" for rust free Broncos, seems to be a lot less time and money in the end.

I'd rather have a rusted bronco than improper repairs. They just slow down the process.

Replaced the rot in the front today.

That is fabricated in house to make room for our A/C package.

I have all of my rust repair done, but there is plenty of time for me to make a change like this for an A/C install. I plan on using the BC A/C unit, would this modification make it easier to install?

I am sure it would help with their system. If you are going the sure fit system that fits under the dash, it could be used in conjunction with a bulkhead fitting to avoid running the lines through the factory vent. That is the biggest thing I do not care for as it looks like an after thought rather than a planned install. (The VA Surefit system)

More accomplished, finished up the cowl modification except for all of the grinding that still needs to be done...

We are back on this project deep into the bed. Hoping we can get the tub wrapped up this week and over into body for paint prep.

This is the original floor brace that the PO never had penetration on the welding and it literally pulled off with my bare hand. It is now properly welded to the floor panel and all has been fitted for welding.

Hey Tom!! I guess this is sorta like Ole Santa Claus....."We're watching YOU!"
...Looking good!...I'm missing the usual photo-documented build threads that we have grown accustomed to on CB.

Wow Tom. That's some very nice work. I know where I want my body done (already did). And you'd have a ton of pics to post on this thread as I think my EB body was worked on by teen-agers. I've tried to shore it up to keep it from rattling but I'm no body guy. Some winter I'll get it to you.

And back to the 77 today we got the new floor installed for good. Some before photos showing once again what improper welding yields. Absolutely no penetration and the PO attempt to install floor pans that were effectively only being held in by the seat bolts and body bolts. All welds were unattached.

Time for some updates to this project. The tub is out of paint and is looking amazing. The chassis is almost completely plumbed and it won't be long before we fire it up. Either way, this rig has come a very long way and still has some to go. This bronco has the first set of the new Duff TRex arms.

Great looking Bronco color! What is it?
Like a Dark Guardsman Blue almost.

Thanks

It is a very cool color borrowed from a 68 Toyota Celica called Zenith Blue. Pictures don't do it justice as it has that hue of the Anvil Color a bit.
