I have 23 gal wildhorses tank and I need to replace the bad fuel pump. It currently has a walbro gss307 which is a 255 lph pump.

I installed a 408 blueprint which came with a dyno sheet of 488 Hp and 455 ftlb. I am running a sniper efi. Which pump should I replace it with. Is the current model pump sufficient?

It is a 5.0 mustang pump.

Should I use a slightly bigger pump?

THanks

255lph will work great for your combo. Just make sure your fittings don't choke the flow.

Not all AN fittings have the same ID and any time you connect to NPT double check the ID of those too.

255lph is good for 600HP... even more by some charts.

I am hoping you have an in tank pump correct? Pumps submerged are more efficient that pumps that have to lift fuel when mounted on a frame rail..

You have to watch the charts carefully. The old school EFI (Mustang) runs 43 PSI, the new stuff (sniper) runs 59 PSI. A lot of pumps choke for flow at the higher pressure.

Neat trick on the Sniper, you can set up an auxillery fuel pump so under high HP demands you can power up additional pumping capacity.

I have not sized anything for that power level recently, don't know the correct pump. Just know what to watch for and ways around it.

Walbro GSS 307 pump has plenty of capacity for your application. The difference in pressure is not enough to make much difference in fuel flow.
