No matter how much money you have, or any other thing, all you really have to offer anyone in this world is your word. How good is it? You already know the answer, seems all the Bronco Brothers do to.

On another note, Seymourpus has to be a screen name for some other member on here. His stuff is just too wacked to be for real. the things he says and the questions he comes up with makes me wonder?

I think it's just the crack he's on.

Sell it to the first guy. Let your buddy think it's still available. If he ever does show up with cash in a couple of years, say "What Bronco?"

Agree with everyone else, you made a deal with the first guy, no reason to default on it. We read about these deals all the time, and I know I would not like being the buyer when someone backed out on a deal. So what happens if you collapse the first deal then your buddy backs out on you? You end up trying once again to sell the rig..

@Seymourpus, what you've just said... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

@ncsubronc, did the first guy leave a deposit? For me either selling or buying, without a down payment, no deal is done. If you want to ensure you are getting what you deal on, you show up with cash in hand or you give a few hundred deposit to show your sincerity. I have had guys get cold feet days after committing to a deal and back out.

I would call them both and say there is another interested party, the first person to show up at my house with the cash gets the truck!

This brings up an interesting thought - I started to write a post a couple of weeks ago flaming a couple of people on this forum for backing out on deals that were offered on the "For Sale" forum.
In both cases the sellers accepted my offer and then backed out after getting better offers. In neither case were they Seymour but maybe they are related.

Stick to your original deal and keep your good reputation!

He didn't leave a deposit, but he did show up w/ cash in hand ready to buy. I'm guessing he figured the Bronco was too good to be true from the ad, so he had what he thought he was willing to pay. It wasn't enough for me to sell the Bronco w/ the motor in it so I told him I couldnt do it. He left, but called a couple hours later saying he could do what I was looking to get for the Bronco without the motor....which was more money than he initially offered for the Bronco w/ the motor in it. I understand things fall through, and if it happens, it happens...but I like to give people a chance most of the time.

He must have not been that serious for taking only 8 months to get by to look once you put it up for sale!!
I still can't believe it took as long as it did to sell that truck as it is a nice ride!
Tell your buddy about the one that Explorer has forsale in the classifieds, I bet it will suit his needs!

Hey Woj...you may or may not have been roomates with said friend  I told him I would help find him another one if he is serious. He wanted mine because he knows its history and can call me if he has questions. Do you have any for sale? I can't believe it took so long to sale either. I've had hundreds of people kicking tires over the internet on this thing, but he was the first person to come and look at it! I think most people must have thought it was not as solid as I made it out to be or something...it was a very clean Bronco though.

I think we should of all said the other way just to mess with you;D

thats dirty skiddy....but woulda been funny ;D

Congrats on the sale of your Bronco, J.

My buddy really wanted it, but he lost his job as a home builder and you know how that goes.

Take care.

Thanks Jeff

Totally understand that. It's a hard time to be buying toys right now.

Hope you're doing well... still wanna get back down there and see how far your Bronco has come!

If no chic's, booze, money or chic's for you in this...

let me tell you a story. As a renter in Brookline, MA in college I would advertise for a roommate when one left. Always told guys that it was taken.

Chics? You can ask "Boyfriend, work, hot?, drugs, and so on. I got laid so many time.

Long story short, once I committed to a chic that was pretty hot. Next day a 5'8" blonde in cut off jeans pedaled up on a bike.

Her T-shirt was so stretched from the huge breasts and her legs were so long and her eyes were so blue I called the other chic and made an excuse.

Me and Nancy ended up moving to Atlanta, Lake Lanier, Boating, Windy Hills Sporting Club Marrietta, Jack Daniels, motorcycling to Alabama, drives to Panama Beach and Savannah, to this day people still ask me about that bombshell.

For some reason I felt that hot party chic who even went fishing with me in Newport RI one summer was too dumb for me.

So you see what happens? You can make a good move, but ruin your life.

Boy did I screw up bad with her.

Can someone send me a rusty razor on the internet?

Yes I have PIX, which is even worse than none.

One guy put a pic of her on his office wall.

REDRUM DIE KILL>.....

Ok Tito we know it's you just like that uncut nut stunt you tried to pull, cut it out.

It would be different if you and your buddy had settled on a price and you told him you would sell it to him, but sounds like was still going to "look at it then decide" so there was NO DEAL, so you have done nothing wrong to sell it to the first one with offer and acceptance.

Unlike my situation. I made an offer on some seats off classified and the seller said "OK, send me a check and when it clears I will send you the seats" He returned my check. I called and said WTF. He said a better offer came along....Sad part is he didn't think he did anything wrong by taking a better offer. I told him we had a deal but he just said, "yeah but I got a better deal" I hate a man that is not good on his word! %)
