So if I hear all you guys clearly, you're telling me & everybody else that I should be buzzing to 6K rpm repeatedly while going to town for groceries, bolts, irrigation supplies right??
;)
Only after it's warm, then bingo! And thats what my 347 sounds like more or less.

Just had a conversation with a well known dyno/race engine building shop in Stockton. They ran in my FE this morning that has Comp Cams evolution roller lifters. Mild lifter ticking at 7-8 that got better as the session went on. They said due to all the problems associated with lifter failures they only use Johnson.

Custom Cam is already built & already at my house my buddy said today

Max dur & lift for what I want according to 2 different builders (not a place like Comp Cams).
No more power is available for my rpm and wants.

So being your around rocks a lot did you go see those standing stones while you were in Bristol? Looks like it can be a mob of people there.

No, didnt see the stones.
. We have an excellent copy of Stonehenge just 2hrs from our house- closest thing we got!

We have had a great time here the past two weeks. Perfect weather!

This video is NOT of a one-off road.

We have driven 10 miles on these main roads without a normal 2 lane width & 5 miles w/o a white line in the middle. lol

Check this out, this is today, 40 mph speed limit in the slowest parts. Not sure I hit 40mph on the straight stretchss!

Amazing….no ditches to worry about. 🙂. Also noticed Glastonbury (sp) is just south of Bristol. 200,000 people attend the festival there. Those roads would get a bit crazy.
I don’t really need to see the stones either as we have Carhenge here in NE.
Have fun and keep it between the umm???

"keep it between..." for sure! :)

...the stone walls that are covered with hedges to make the trenches look soft but are going to be more like a luge chute if you lose it at 60mph.

2 grades yesterday at 16% & 17%. Except where the sign was, same 1 1/2 lanes wide at best. :)

You never have time to grab a cup or look thru a pasture gate for a glimpse at the view.
Short video didn't load

Locals all know the width of their car!!

I recently had a co-worker visit from England and he marveled and grumbled about the size of my 1/2ton pickup. He said the truck wouldn't fit down most roads, especially country roads. He couldn't figure out why I needed it! Then I told him I owned acreage and he was amazed at how this was possible (20 acres) LOL!

Tried my best to like him but he was a dick and not indicative of other Europeans i have met.

Those are known to die if you idle too much. Not the fancy ones either, just regular rollers. Prevailing theory is there isn't enough splash oil at idle. Way to go Dodge, splash oil lubed lifters.
Yeah my brother maintains a fleet of dodge charger police cars and has at least one a week in for cam and lifter replacement. They are phasing them out as fast as they can

Once you get out of the US transportation changes, sometimes severely. I saw the same things over there last year. Just arrived home late yesterday from Costa Rica for a long trip and let me tell you, you appreciate the width and driving standards of the US. My dually would be completely useless in town in most places.

Glad you're having a good trip Brian.

Home!

21 hr day today with travel to London and travel to our house from SeaTac. Weird driving on the right (correct) side of the road tonight coming home... I kept wanting to hug or creep over the center stripe (lane divider to the right) I was in since the last 2 weeks my right shoulder was literally less than a foot away from a white center stripe- IF the road ever had one!

I've got a pic of a 3 lane rd-a-bout with 19, yes 19 stoplights! Holy traffic light, which one (or 4) are for YOU??? lol I know I have a couple showing over a dozen but it's hard cruising thru rd-a-bouts with your camera pointing thru the windscreen w/o getting or causing trouble... :)
