(I tried to put this in Tech Art. section but can't)
So, after putting new discs on front, my truck would stop, but not well. The PO had installed a "custom" made booster bracket with a booster and MC from 1980 Monza. See pic. It actually fit fine, but the 7/8" bore was undersized, so I decided to upgrade to WH brake booster kit with Wilwood 1 1/8 MC. BTW, if you are interested in having my old bracket, message me.

With the WH brake kit I also ordered the braided stainless lines that go from the MC to the H-block. Pic shows what came, and also compared to what I had. Also a pic of the new braided lines going to the H-block. These line are great to work with, particularly if you are adding a prop valve.....see below.

First step is measure the distance of pedal to floor. I was at 6 3/4" Then remove the push rod from the brake. A cotter pin holds it on, and there is a plastic bushing on the end. pic attached.
I also ordered a plastic bushing that goes on the post of the brake pedal where the brake pushrod is attached, just in case. Turns out that I didn't have one at all! Seems odd to me that the kit didn't include this $3 part, but if you have slack in your brake pedal travel, I recommend this $3 upgrade. I did have to cut a bit if the plastic off so it would not buckle up when installed.

Next, remove old stuff. I was left over with shown in pic. I test fitted the new bracket and found that their was something in the way. Turns out this little black rubber nipple on the firewall. See Pic. I cut it off. Not sure what it was doing there?

Put everything in, adjusted the brake pushrod to the same pedal depth. I also bought an adjustable proportioning valve from JEGS for the rears, and mounted it to the fender underneath the MC. First time for me bending tube, but it worked out. Pics here are of final install and my dog asleep while I was working. Oh, and now I'm stopping on a dime!
